For those confused as to whatโs happening in Poland right nowโฆ
Imagine if Democrats won Congress, declared the Supreme Court didn't count anymore, ignored its rulings for 3 years, and then, a year before the next election, picked 8 new justices of their own, including a man their leader called his "right-hand man," and when the Republican president refused to swear them in, they swore themselves in and mailed him the paperwork, and when the Chief Justice said that wasn't legal and wouldn't seat them, they waited for a Friday night when the president was on a plane to Africa and had federal security officers who answer to a Democratic cabinet member walk 7 of them into the court through a back gate connected to the Democratic leader's own offices, where one of them announced she had "suspended" the Chief Justice, a move that even a law professor who openly can't stand him said had no legal basis, and then riot police blocked the Chief Justice from entering his own court, the court's website was taken over, the Attorney General moved that same night to strip his immunity so he could be prosecuted, the president had to turn his plane around mid-flight to come home, and the same people who spent years lecturing everyone about respecting the courts went online to say this was the rule of law, that it was painful, and that there was "no other way," which is roughly where Poland is tonight.

I don't think you understand what "lag" is in your inference.
Also, we still have too many boomer priests for your point to land.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV has requested a mail-in ballot for the U.S. midterm elections, potentially becoming the first pope in 2,000 years to vote in a secular election.
I made a video pointing out how many saints came from the 3+ position in birth order, many being religious.
Silence has taught Catholics more about Humanae Vitae than any homily has. For 58 years we've handled Paul VI's teaching mostly by just ignoring it. The results โจโข Catholic fertility tracks the national averageโจโข Gallup, 2012: 82% of U.S. Catholics called contraception morally acceptableโจโข CARA, 2024 ordination class: 73% came from families with 3+ kids
The men in our seminaries mostly come from the families who believed Pope Paul VI.
This piece argues that the dissent did LESS damage than our quiet about it. ๐ป๐ฆ "Large families are not required by Catholic teaching, but generosity toward life is."

Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization.
A few years ago, Cardinal Amรฉrico Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ.
Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that โthe Church is not there to convertโ and โChristians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.โ
Excuse me, butโฆwhat?
Last time I checked, the Founder said, โAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.โ Sure sounds like conversion to me.
When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.
So impassioned is he for this work that he says, โI have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospelโ (1 Cor. 9:22); and โIf I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospelโ (1 Cor. 9:16)!
Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary รฉlan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a โnew evangelization,โ which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ.
Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for Godโs sake, letโs not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.

"Divide" is a strong word for this as this isn't quite that.
A leaning, yes but not a divide.
If it was a divide, the percentages would inversely correlate from their respective sides.
There's a reason he banned me from commenting.
A protestant shouldn't continually have this much sway in Catholic discussions, overstating anslyses.

understanding how NFP differs from contraception is an iq gate and Iโm tired of pretending it isnโt
This article by @jdflynn captures the mentality that was shown in the @CatholicProj survey in 2022 applied practically with restructuring in the Archdiocese I live in without citing it.
I'm pointing out that connection, the article does not.
Additionally, the Canon Law rights issue is well presented.

What is Donatism?

The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) has officially mandated the rebaptism of Ukrainian Orthodox Christians and banned them the use of the Ukrainian language in divine services.
On October 22, the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church approved a document titled "Guidelines for the Reception of Individuals from Ukrainian Schismatic Structures Wishing to Join the Russian Orthodox Church." It applies to people in Russian-occupied territories who were previously affiliated with the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP), or the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).
The document outlines three procedures for joining the ROC. Notably, it stipulates that individuals baptized within the OCU, UOC-KP, or UAOC must undergo the Sacrament of Baptism again to join the ROC. Different rules apply to those originally baptized within the ROC, the Roman Catholic Church, or a Protestant denomination.
Regarding the accession of entire congregations to the ROC, the document states that such a community may not demand a distinct liturgical order or a special administrative status. Furthermore, the use of any language other than Church Slavonic in divine services is prohibitedโeven though the ROC elsewhere permits the use of various other languages, ranging from English to Japanese.

The thing Protestants like Pete Hegseth donโt understand is that the Third Temple is already built.
As long as they hate Catholicism though, theyโll never be able to accept or realize this
@StephenKokx, I don't know if you knew about this but we're trying to spread the word in the Archdiocese of Detroit.
