I will always go out of my way to support my friends and people who genuinely support my community. That’s what community is.
But DMing creators you barely interact with asking for raids because you need their viewers to hit Partner is fucking weird.
“I can’t do this on my own.”
Then maybe the answer isn’t asking other streamers to provide the audience for you. Build your own community. WORK on your content. Figure out why people aren’t staying and give them a reason to come back??
Raids should be support and not a strategy for borrowing someone else’s community until Twitch gives you a checkmark.
The Twitch space has gotten so weird.
What happened to supporting people because they genuinely deserve it? Because they’re entertaining, funny, talented, or you simply enjoy watching them?
Now it feels like you need a PC, a camera, a whole aesthetic setup, and everything else just to be taken seriously. Twitch is not Tinder 😭
Some people simply don’t want to have a camera. Some people don’t want or can’t afford a PC. And that should be okay.
At the end of the day, you should be able to support someone because you enjoy them and what they bring to the space not because they fit some standard of what a streamer is “supposed” to look like.
