Dear #Dogecoin and crypto newbies, please remember: STAY AWAY FROM ALL AIRDROPS, THEY ARE ALL SCAMS I have been trying for two weeks to help take down huge accounts pushing fake airdrops affecting not just Dogecoin but many popular meme tokens. I had several people with better connections than mine trying to flag this internally at X (@Safety and @Support, please get in touch), but no action has been taken yet. The same accounts keep pushing airdrops stealing thousands of dollars every day, and they often impersonate tokens or coins that make the headlines, so ignorant newbies are particularly vulnerable to them. In order not to give the (already so incredibly risky on their own) speculative tokens additional exposure, I try not to mention specific accounts here. I did send warnings via DMs to some of the people I am following who I saw were following the scam accounts. Yes, people are guilty of greed and stupidity. But at the same time I do have sympathy for them as I understand what the promise of easy money can do to your brain, especially if you are ignorant and in difficult life situations. People taking advantage of that are the worst.
