It’s never too early to look ahead to Set 19’s #TFTProCircuit.
Welcome, @panche3e, our first AMER female competitor in TFT Pro Circuit history!
This information unfortunately started spreading a little earlier than we'd anticipated and we wanted to frame it alongside some other details, but may as well just make it clear now.
There's a bit more information regarding the client, a quick look at updates we have planned for after launch, and a few other little details, so be sure to check back next week when we get the full piece out.
Well that Doughcat's out of the bag. We have an article planned for next week covering this, details on what to expect in the new client, and more.
For now, we want to show our appreciation for players’ support through this journey so far, and provide some compensation for bearing with us the past few patches. Starting in Patch 19.1, we’re releasing a set of simple missions to show our appreciation and kick off the new set.
There's a lot of work ahead, and you won't see it delivered all at once, but while we continue that work, we want to open the door to have a meaningful conversation and show where we're focused.
Let us know if there's anything specific you want to dig into more!
We’ve got work to do. Geoff shares some more detail around where we missed with TFT’s engine migration and what we’re prioritizing in the road ahead.

Today marks 2 years, since the League wiki has left from fandom. And in that time we've now branched out support for ALL Riot games.
This couldn't have been made by possible without the support of the all people who edit the wiki, from the people who tirelessly edit every day to lurking randos who correct typos. This has always been and will always be a community endeavor.
I also want to shout out the incredible community teams across the various Riot teams who believe in our vision and have supported over the years. This goes out to the incredible Editors-In-Chief @draggles @BKCearns @TrickJarrett @More_Synergy and Brian Chui (Valorant). As well as the stellar comms team @FerikaBoss @ggmattb @teasao @JulezJP @wroadie @RiotRiru @riot_prism @katieguo @CadenHouse and @StevenDEarnest.

Going to spend a lot of today doing an AMA on r/CompetitiveTFT. If you want to deep dive on my career, my history in @TFT as a player/caster/podcaster, my new role as the Global Head of TFT Esports, and all things TFT esports, come check it out!

Bryce and I first chatted about this opportunity back in March when I was in the early stages of figuring out how to expand the team as I continued to help scale up other games like Riftbound.
Since then, we’ve had a lot of conversations about what the future of TFT needs and how we can take it into its next iteration of growth. I’m so excited to have someone like Bryce in the role who can deeply empathize with high level players, pros, and creators. Please don’t hold back in your chats with Bryce, he wants to hear it all!
IM BACK BABY!!! As of last week, I’m the new Global Head of @TFT Esports at @riotgames. Words can’t properly express how excited I am to return to this game and community I love so much, with the opportunity to make things even bigger and better.

Geoff, Peter, Gina and Anya discuss MacOS, cosmetics, and our new player experience.
We filmed this last week while MacOS was on track for PBE, but critical issues came up over the weekend. We know Mac players are waiting, and we want to get this right. We’ll share an update on MacOS PBE by the end of this week.
The rest of the PBE update is still on track for today, including early testing of the PC full client.

Busy night for the team, but the balance changes are now live.

More (quick) updates from the team - it's a slow and steady process, but folks are hard at work to clean up the overall experience in Enchanted Wilds and make sure that y'all can just enjoy the set.
We know players have been experiencing a number of challenges along with our new set launch, so ahead of our next dev update, we're here with a quick check-in from Geoff on bug progress and prioritization, what to expect from our next patches, acknowledging the need for more transparency on our Cosmetics conversion roadmap, and more.

We are aware that some Fan First ticket codes for Convergence Fest are not working as intended right now. The team is actively investigating the issue, and while we work on a fix, affected codes will not expire or rotate.
If you’ve already received a code, your opportunity to purchase tickets is secured, so there’s no risk of missing out while this is being resolved.
Not a patch this time - just a recommendation and DU is staying on. If folks are 100% sure you’re on the latest version and you’re still running into this 99% load screen issue, please let us know.
We've seen some reports from players experiencing loading screen bugs in Double Up. After investigation, this is most likely related to being on an outdated app version prior to the release of our C-patch.
For players on mobile, please ensure you’ve updated to the latest version through your mobile app store. For PC players, restart the client to check for updates if you haven't recently.
Double Up is back up and running as of a few minutes ago. We’re keeping a close eye out for issues, and like we say here there’s a lot more work to go, but we really appreciate everyone’s support & patience here
More fixes just rolled out with our C-patch just now for both PC & mobile. For Double Up, we're just waiting on some final platform approvals to enable the queue. That can be tough to nail down timing on, but we'll post an update as soon as we know when the queue will be back up.
18.1 C mid-patch update is rolling out now for PC with the following changes and bug fixes:
- New spinner graphic in loading screens
- Reduced graphic related crashes
- Mobile improvements for crashes, default quality settings, and “Update Available” issues
- Memory leak fixes for various VFX that should improve performance for all platforms
Double Up will be reenabled soon as all platforms have updated---expected soon.

More quality of life + balance changes to come with Patch 18.2

Mobile now has Performance mode available as an option in the settings menu. This is in beta, used to optimize your game for lower-spec devices. Deets:
- Caps the device to Low Quality Preset
- Disables Arena Animations & VFX
- Disables Portals in Carousel but not combat
We’ve just gone live with our 18.1 B patch update, focused on solving some bugs to boost performance across Mobile and PC. We’ve got more fixes to come in future patches, including a potential C-patch in the next few days, but here are a few highlights from today’s deploy:
- Fixed several memory leaks impacting game performance
- Fixed some load time related issues.
- Finishers now abide by Global Volume/SFX settings
- For the full list check out the notes: teamfighttactics.leagueofleg…

Hey folks- We’re prepping a C-patch with another ~20 or so bug fixes and will be re-enabling Double Up.
You’ll get full details from @TFT closer to when the C-patch goes live today, but here are the biggest pieces:
- Client Stability/performance around Mobile: fixing the “update available” issues some devices are experiencing and other mobile crashes
- Memory Leak/VFX issues: cleaning up a few particle/memory accumulation issues that have hindered performance across all platforms. More work to come here.
- Visual/UI cleanup: fixing some issues with health bars. We will keep pushing on the UI to get rid of that mobile/blurry feeling on PC.
- Fixing the issue with loot landing outside the board on certain arenas
- Adding a spinner on loading screen so it's clear whether there is an issue or not with you getting into game
There are a ton more bug fixes coming in the patch later today, and more in-depth work happening for 18.2 along with discussions of more patches before then as needed as we want to move the needle as quickly as possible.
These are the high-level focuses right now to bring the most change we can in the short-term. Expect more updates soon and thank you again as we work through all of this. We will continue to ensure you all are as informed as possible
Last(?) update here for now: Double Up queues are going to stay down for a bit, re-enabled ideally in our C-patch. Goal is to deploy tomorrow, more info to come as the patch is tested/validated/approved to release. Thanks to everyone who helped with reports & additional detail 🙏
