Don’t miss Dr Morika Williams’s PhD defense today at 2pm in North Theater ! “ Long term effects of Neonatal Pain on Chronically Painful Conditions “ @TRiPProgramme @bdxlascelles @NCStateVetMed @CVMResearch
Early this week I had the amazing opportunity to share my research with a group of great trainees, expert researchers/physicans, and most importantly patient partners. Thanks @NAPainSchool for an unforgettable week.
@MorikaWilliams (who is a vet!) explains 1 out of 10 babies born prematurely and they experience over 100 painful procedures on average in first 2 weeks of life. She’s studying the impact of this exposure later in life using an animal model. #ItDoesntHaveToHurt #NAPainSchool
Thanks @KidsInPain for giving us bandages @NAPainSchool. A baby in the airport fell, scratched his cheek, was crying, and bleeding. I gave them some comfort by passing the bandages along especially since the airport didnt have a first aid kit. #BabiesFeelPain #Pain
Right after our victory debate @NAPainSchool Team Biology but (we love team psychosocial) #NAPainSchool
Time to jump start the second round of trainee talks. What better way to start than to examining sex differences through networking with @runDRG #NAPainSchool
