One major reason I’m quitting masturbation is because it’s affecting my daily life as a teacher who teaches 5 classes I never take lesson notes or textbooks to class. I'm a teacher, and I can teach almost any topic off the top of my head. I'm really good at it, and I've always been proud of that. Lately, things have started to slip. I get brain fog. I forget things easily. Reading has become hard, and so has concentrating, especially when I have to read large numbers. Sometimes I stutter, and sometimes my eyes go blurry. For someone who stands in front of a class every day, that's scary. I get tried easily, my work clothes doesn’t fit anymore and always feel the need to overthink before I can have meaningful conversations with my colleagues. When it’s time to go to class, sometimes, I’d have to read the topic 4-5 times which tiring People usually say it's about not being sexually active or not being in a relationship. That's not the whole story, at least not for me. I did it when I lost. I did it when I didn't feel good about myself or when i have a slight set back. I did it when I was nervous and needed to feel happy inside. It was never really about desire. It was a way to cope. That's why I'm quitting. I want my mind sharp again, I want to feel confident in front of my students, and I want to deal with my feelings without running from them. If you've been in the same place, you're not alone.
