Here’s a detailed look at the new Renault Duster Hybrid!
On the outside, the only changes are the hybrid badge on the front fender and the illuminated Duster lettering on the grille. The interior, too, remains identical to the regular turbo-petrol version, with no changes.
Power comes from a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric traction motor, delivering a combined output of 160 HP and 208 Nm.
Performance is quite impressive, especially when compared with other hybrids in the segment. The Duster pulls cleanly and accelerates quickly, thanks to the well-integrated petrol engine and electric motor. Renault claims a 0-100 km/hr time of 9.6 seconds.
Renault claims a fuel efficiency figure of 29 km/l. However, during our 100 km run, the MID displayed around 14 km/l. We believe you could get up to 18 km/l in everyday driving conditions.
Ride and handling are where the Duster really shines. The hybrid version is around 100 kg heavier and Renault has tuned the suspension and steering accordingly. The result is impressive, with the Duster offering some of the best handling characteristics in the segment, along with excellent precision and feedback.
The ride felt slightly stiff at low speeds but the suspension handled bumps and potholes with ease once we picked up the pace.

What a cracker of a machine! 🧨
Drove the Škoda Kylaq MT over the past few days and had a great time with it! The 1.0 TSI is fun and the slick 6-speed manual makes it even better.
The clutch is a bit stiff for bumper-to-bumper traffic and I got around 10.2 km/l. But the way it moves, with that creamy-smooth engine and flickable character, makes it a joy to drive. I simply loved it!
Overall, a pretty solid VFM package. Looks lovely too!
