Africa is a continent that has 54 countries with thousands of ethnicities. Which heritage are you referring to? America bred African males with Native American women. Europeans also impregnated African and native women. Their offspring were also further interbred.
See the thing is they took a lot of different people from a lot of different places. Took their original languages. Forbid them from speaking them. Taught them English or French. Out of the ordeal which they went through they created a new culture. History. Not hearsay.

I mean Black Americans, 60 years ago had our own bus stations and buses so we didn't care, but once our taxes got involved we forced America to change its ways.
