Back line - did enough, not wonderful but not awful Grimes - drop him Yirenki - passenger BTA - drop him Sakamoto - did enough Rudi - did enough - no support Cherif - needs runners around him Too many under par performances, it’s consistently as well #PUSB

13 goal attempts? Where? I genuinely don’t recall 1. The stats are the stats I guess but must really be scraping the barrel if they show 13! #PUSB
13 goal attempts, just 2 on target. City were out-shot, out-ran, out-passed. Fulham won most of the big stats and deserved their victory. Safe to say that the hope from the Forest and Newcastle games was blown away at a windy CBS. The match report is cooking and will be served later. #PUSB #SkyBlues

Well that was absolutely honking and the sooner we make some proper changes the better Grimes is really hampering any progression, deeper than the defenders. #PUSB

Such an odd decision Ref said not even a foul in real time VAR pull it back for review for denial of goal scoring opp Outcome is free kick and a yellow card 😅 just seemed to get worse at each step!!
Issa Diop somehow escapes with just a yellow card for his challenge on James McAtee after VAR intervenes. How the referee missed it in the first place is beyond me! 😳

Is it not more of an embarrassment if none of these “amateurs” take a leg off him? Instead of it being actual amateurs where the money and the win would be an incredible watch? Imagine 62 year old Stan from the local social club taking a leg!

The Marmoush elbow would be given against us I’m not saying it is or isn’t a foul, but it would go against us that’s for sure #PUSB

Can’t argue with the formation but I’d have gone 5 at the back and made sure we were solid and didn’t give up too much. Rushworth having a crisis of confidence, he saves 2 of those goals last season Hamer didn’t exactly put a name down for his shirt. We had chances #PUSB

Still plenty of time to get something from this. The longer it stays 1-0 the more nervy it gets for spurs. Giving Madders too much space to dictate. Cherif looks solid, BTA lacking composure, JDS/Yirenki yellows a concern #PUSB

Very shocked we haven’t gone for a back 5 Lampard wanting to get at them early? He’s proven he knows what he’s doing though. Big night for Tats #PUSB

Quick thoughts - missed first 30 minutes as I was at Southampton vs Bolton, but from what I saw, just a real struggle in the attacking third. One shot on target at home isn't really good enough, and bar Wissa making the wrong decision and a few blocked shots, there was very little to be enthused about. In the last two league games, we did genuinely create chances, so I wonder if that is just because Coventry and Hull are so poor and passive? Certainly, on the evidence of tonight, I'm leaning towards that. Villa are obviously a very good side and will be right up there come the end of the season, but they didn't really have to get out of first gear. The midfield with Joelinton as one of the two needs to end, it always looked to be a risk that didn't pay off. I'd like to see Fernandez-Pardo on the left and we need Steur in there. I also don't believe it's been this bad in every game like some, but I was really struggling to see what the plan was, tbh. Off the ball, we aren't pressing but aren't compact in midfield either. Really are a lot of improvements and lessons to be learned, as I see some people already feel as if Jaissle should go. I'm nowhere near that, but he's going to need to adapt and learn quickly. Each game should be an improvement in some way, and it was a huge step back. #NUFC

Jack this is lazy work. A dreadful team doesn’t carve someone open 4-1. If Cov are dreadful, I’m not sure where that leaves Newcastle. Sometimes you have to credit the opposition. You weren’t good enough, Cov were better. #PUSB
Quick thoughts. I'm sure a lot of people are going to be very worried, and I get that. But that is never a 4-1 game as we missed some huge chances from carving them open. The real concern is that Coventry are truly dreadful, and it's clear the away form needs sorting, but it is going to be an up and down season. Hornicek - First mistake since joining with the penalty. Not sure he could do anything about the other goals with basically all of their shots going in. MFP - The first chance when he dummied it, I can only assume he got a shout to leave it. That is the only possible reason he could have left it. Second one, does literally everything right and unlucky to see the shot hit Thomas. He is raw, but there is definitely a player there. Wissa - I've praised him a lot this year, but he offered absolutely nothing this evening. Surprised he was on as long as he was. Botman - What a goal. Won most of his headers and passed the ball well. One terrible clearance that led to a big chance, and that is what people will focus on, unfortunately. Murphy - Two good crosses and that was it. Time for him to come out of the team. Nico G - Lovely ball through for MFP and after a slow start, I thought he played well on and off the ball, but was left on his own time and time again. Hall - Really good performance, bar the mistake that led to the third goal. He's bailed us out enough, so won't be criticising him too much. Willock - He's had a very good season, but it was a game to forget with a lot of poor decisions. Toure - Hopefully, the injury is nothing because he made an impact. Close to starting. #NUFC
