Thoroughly enjoyed seeing @jimmycarr at the Palladium tonight. Shame some of the audience can’t distinguish between heckling for comedy and being thick. Here’s a hint: if you’ve shouted “IMMIGRATION” as a topic five times, chances are he’s decided it’s not a topic for today. 🤫

I’ve got face blindness. The embarrassment of not recognising acquaintances is beautifully offset when I watch adverts containing famous people: they clearly expect us to recognise them but I have absolutely no idea who they are.

“As Good As It Gets” by @RomeshRang is fantastic from the dedication onwards. If you’re in adulthood, I’d recommend it.

I am loving writing my doctoral thesis but I thought I'd share how time-consuming it is. This morning I spent 90 mins crafting 113 words. That’s 1.25 words per minute.

That's not including the research I had to do to get to the position to be able to write the words. In fact, that was after I'd typed up the notes and selected what I wanted to write.

It was just rearranging the words I'd already decided to write into the order I wanted them. So that means I'll spend around 800 hours just rearranging words... for the first draft.
