What a "humanitarian"!
Zelensky Says No One Will Touch Russian Diesel Tankers Bound for U.S. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian diesel tankers bound for the U.S. would not be targeted, but warned that the Trump-Putin agreement could lead to broader sanctions relief for Moscow. He said Kyiv had no orders to halt retaliatory strikes. clashreport.com/world/articl…

Why do we still need colleges and universities then?

Rare Nordic outreach.

Magnitude.
Four years ago, Elon Musk walked into Twitter headquarters carrying a sink Most people saw a funny video. But what many failed to see was something much bigger, one of the most selfless and consequential decisions anyone in his position has ever made Elon took on a $44 BILLION deal. He knew he was overpaying, he knew the enormous risks involved, and he knew he was risking billions of dollars He had absolutely no need to take on that kind of headache. He already had everything most people could ever dream of Despite all of that, he went ahead and bought the entire platform And people have no idea how important that decision was Those were some really dark days. Free speech was being crushed, people questioning the approved narrative were being labeled as spreading "misinformation," and censorship was being pushed to silence opinions that challenged those in power A handful of people ended up deciding what counted as truth and what the rest of the world was even allowed to hear The entire Western world was drifting toward a dangerous future of ideological control, far-left insanity, cultural self-hatred, and censorship disguised as moral superiority Elon literally changed the course of that future It was really the final moment before the entire West would have drifted into full-blown socialism, self-destruction, self-hatred, and suicidal empathy Elon single-handedly saved Western democracy when it needed him most Four years later, so much has happened that people have started forgetting how bad things were and how much was at stake You cannot imagine how much worse things might have become if he had simply walked away. And frankly, I'd rather leave that nightmare to the imagination Back then, Elon wrote: "I didn't do it because it would be easy. I didn't do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love" That tells you everything about why I admire this man so much Of all the extraordinary things Elon Musk has done for humanity, buying Twitter will always hold a special place in my heart I really love him for what he did and for the kind of heart he has ❤️ And I don't think people will fully appreciate the magnitude of that decision for many years to come

First real, though temporary, ceasefire in almost five years of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.    Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.       General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.

Four Russian ballistic missiles precisely hit and significantly damaged the Southern automotive and metro bridge across the Dnipro River in #Ukraine's capital city of Kyiv last night. Before that, this major bridge suffered several, though minor, Russian drone hits. Currently, there is no traffic through this bridge between the eastern and western parts of the city. Meanwhile, Kyiv's major office initiated the urgent project (together with the #Ukraine Armed Forces) of erecting temporary pontoon bridges across the river.

Ukraine is experiencing a collapse of its core metallurgical industry that threatens massive unemployment and a budget hole that would make it impossible to continue the defense against Russian military aggression. The US and Europe won’t be able to compensate for those monetary losses, regardless how sympathetic Washington and the European capitals are to the victimized Ukrainians. -- The Ukraine Decoded newsletter, Substack, October 26, 2026. ukrainedecoded.substack.com/… Subscribe! A while ago, #Norway extradited Volodymyr Budzinsky back to #Ukraine on the Kyiv's law enforcement request. He is a 45-year-old Ukrainian citizen and a former Privat Bank clerk from a small town of Gusiatyn, Ternopilska Oblast. Ukrainian prosecutors suspect that in 2017-2021 he stole 1 million UAH from accounts of bank clients and NGOs (curently it's $21,880, but then it was $366,800). He fled Ukraine to Europe in July 2021, but Norway arrested him in May 2026 upon his arrival on a ferry to Kristiansand. After the extradition, due to a "very compassionate" Ukrainian Criminal Core and corrupted judges, he successfully paid a bail and is now free inside Ukraine awaiting court hearings (and most likely planning to escape again).

Here is one more creative way not to go to war in #Ukraine. An able-bodied Ukrainian man from the Khmelnitska Oblast bought a paraglide motor and flew away to #Moldova. The Moldovan border guards spotted the loud vehicle in the air and captured him. The guy quickly asked for a refugee status, so he can stay in Moldova for some time while the country's immigration court would hear his case.

Why is Zelensky and Co. against Musk?
Unreal… Elon: Don’t use Starlink to kill people. Zelensky: I used Starlink to kill people. Legacy Media: Elon is a monster for stopping Zelensky from using Starlink to kill people. Democrats: We must investigate Elon for stopping Zelensky from using Starlink to kill people.

Facts vs. propaganda.
Starlink’s Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibits remotely controlling drones. Zelensky himself acknowledged using Starlink for mid-range strikes. Elon is right: Ukraine’s military violated those terms by using the Starlink system for offensive drone strikes.

DEVELOPING. #Ukraine is actively planning to influence the first round of renewed by US President Trump peace negotiations with Russia in Abu Dhabi or Switzerland by requesting to start them a week earlier than November 10. (Every day counts before the freezing winter under the Russian bombardments). Also, Ukraine is planning to bring "the representative of Europe" to those talks, according to the Ukrainska Pravda news outlet. Meanwhile, any EU official won't have a mandate to participate in this US-mediated peace talks. So, the Ukrainian delegation is planning "to brief" the European representative about talks on their own (basically, leaking sensitive information, incl. to the press, and overall making it harder to agree on something). At the same time, Ukraine frames such their strategy not as "disruption of Trump efforts" or "resistance to Trump," but as "preventing the Russians from fooling everybody into a bad peace deal."
BREAKING. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky nullified the President Trump's push for the next round of peace negotiations with Russia under the US mediation. This is planned in Abu Dhabi for early November. On Ukrainian TV, Zelensky just said the next: 💥NO to limits on Ukrainian army (it's now 1,3 million) 💥NO to Ukraine's neutrality 💥NO to territorial discussions --it's only a topic for discussion between him and Putin (their personal meeting is unrealistic).

Russia without its arms industry won't be a threat to neighbors.
Ukrainian forces continued to hunt down Russian missile production facilities with their UK-supplied Storm Shadows today, successfully striking the Yelets Energia Plant. The plant, hit by multiple Storm Shadows, produced subcomponents for the Iskander, Kinzhal, and Zircon.
