Maslow did not articulate his view of needs as a hierarchy. The hierarchy was invented by a management consultant and is a poor reading of Maslow. Prominence of needs is contextual, not chained in fixed dependencies. Following the hierarchy is almost guaranteed to cause harm.

RIGHT after I helped organize against unethical contracts (& 2 days after returning from #disability leave), Google gave me 17 days to commit to moving to Sao Pauloβor else lose my job. Over 500 workers have petitioned, but @Google has yet to rescind the act of retaliation.
