hoping to get into the spirit of blasting out smaller updates more frequently, here's a background we recently integrated for my SNES bullet hell Rex Nobilis! mode 7 is cool #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #snes #スーパーファミコン #スーファミ #rexnobilis

song I composed or @WizardMcMagic, this was my first time making a Genesis original song (I've only done a few unfinished covers lol). It was a pretty fun song to write!
Hi!! I've been in need of money lately so I'm actively looking for music work again!
Some short samples of my music can be listened to in the video.
More info can be found in my carrd page.

original song I wrote for Super Famicompo 6's challenge category (challenge was to use vanilla EarthBound samples only)
you guys know how crashing into a wall using the burning ability makes kirby bounce backwards in almost every game except KDL3 and K64? well, I was doing some debugging and turns out KDL3 has code that does this but it goes unused lol

i have been terribly demotivated to do music stuff for the past few months sorry so uhh i coded this pause menu for my smw hack a couple of days ago (after having abandoned it for like 3 months, i'm such a neglectful dad...)

it's definitely bittersweet to hear about Jun Ishikawa's departure from HAL, but regardless of what's next for him, his music will always be something i hold close. wishing him the best of luck 💖

Particularly proud that i made this SPC work with a 29kb vocal sample recorded by yours truly 🎶
This was supposed to have a follow up reply but it didn't (thanks twitter) so I'll just make an explanation here:
This isn't an actual rom or anything, script700 is a file that can be included with SPC files and it mimics snes <-> spc communication for songs that require it (1/3)
I decided to check the docs and coded a small script that streams BRR blocks to a small buffer in ARAM, the DSP then plays this as a sample at 24khz, this is possible in real hardware, but my implementation skips some of the awkward snes <-> spc stuff (2/3)
