If you are new to @veve_official, you may be wondering, "What is MCP?" "MCP" or master collector points, are earned through your activity in VeVe. There are many different ways to earn MCP, from commenting on the social feed, to making purchases or even earning daily MCP for collectibles and comics in your collection. This month, there is a new option- earning "bonus" MCP for staking the $OMI token in the Omi Unlimited Rewards program. This new program has really taken off, and has inspired me to think about how some of the successes of that program can be brought over to the MCP program. Currently, you can use MCP to bid on the opportunity to purchase upcoming drops. This is great for popular, limited items, but for most drops it is currently not necessary. Here are some other ideas: 1. A leaderboard: This is a great way to "gamify" the program. I would also love a mechanism like Omi Unlimited has that would tell me how close I am to overtaking the person ahead of me. 2. More MCP only drops: This has been done in the past, but I think it has to happen much more often. Special items that can only be acquired by using MCP. 3. Drops that use MCP as a component: This has also been done on occasion, but I think should be done more. The idea is that the drop is not "mcp only", but you need to spend a certain amount of MCP in order to be able to purchase. 4. MCP for craft ingredients: imagine if you could redeem MCP for items needed as future craft ingredients, like say, "veve hearts chips". 5. Account customizations or enhancements for MCP: These could be frames or animations or other visual aspects of your VeVe account you could use MCP to use. 6. Monthly/yearly reward program with tiers, with an MCP cost: the idea here is that every month or year you could choose to pay MCP to be part of a program with different reward tiers- one perk could be participants in the different tiers get early access to the secondary marketplace after a drop- maybe top tier gets access 5 minutes early, bottom tier 1 minute ahead of the general public.
