#Neighbours first aired in the UK 40 years ago today. The show produced 40 years of television (9363 episodes), a lot of which are now available to watch on YouTube or Amazon. It is heartwarming, with a perfect blend of drama and humour. An incredible legacy and it is very missed

40 years today when #Neighbours first begun airing on BBC. How little did we know what a rollercoaster of drama we were in for from this little Aussie show & how much we would grow to love everyone who passed through Ramsay Street. This show remains the perfect blend. #Neighbours

40 years later we still ❤️ it, we ❤️ its people, and we keep fighting to have it returned to our screens! #Neighbours

A passionate fanbase with one goal: bringing #Neighbours back. Our determination hasn’t disappeared and neither has our belief that Ramsay Street deserves another chance. Keep posting, keep pushing and keep fighting! 🏡❤️ #SaveNeighbours #BringBackNeighbours
#Neighbours fans we need to cherish humanity, connection and community , and fight to keep #AI out of #RamsayStreet. We owe it to our friends from afar!

Some days, I just really miss #Neighbours. 🥺The characters, the familiar faces, the laughter, the drama and that feeling of coming home to Ramsay Street. It’s still hard to believe it’s gone. I just want them back. 🏡💔 #SaveNeighbours #BringBackNeighbours
The #Neighbours fan community stands against the use of #AI in our show. Our community spans the world and it transcends generations & trying to alter something we love to suit one generation you think is more important than another @FremantleAus is inherently wrong!

#Neighbours might be resting but her incredible legacy will never end & her open-ending holds potential revivals for the future in forms of spinoffs. Stories are yet to be told in Erinsborough.

Over time @BBCOne @channel5_tv @AmazonMGMStudio have made a commitment to #neighbours but SENSELESSLY let it go! The passion , loyalty & love of the show by #fans hasn’t waned in any way so WHY are we without it AGAIN?
We’re still here & we aren’t going anywhere! #SaveNeighbours
