When you’re writing How To Books in Writing Workshop and it’s the day before St. Patrick’s Day…you squeeze in time at the end of the day to learn how to make leprechaun traps! Students worked together to create our trap! Such a fun connection!🍀🌈

Students learned the game “Grab and Count”! They are working on using counting strategies such as line up, touch and count & push and count and then showing their number using pictures, numbers, words, ten frames, number line, etc.!

Super readers are reading our poem of the week: Pumpkin Song! We are learning how to point to words (track print) as we read!

Kindergarten writers are planning their book pages with the help of their writing partner!

An extra friend joined us for snack outside today! 💚

Kindergarten writers are working with their writing partners to plan and continue their teaching books. We learned that authors almost always have helpers when writing their books. That’s what our writing partners are helping us to do!

We read the book Apple Countdown and then created our own Apple Pals!

It’s Gingerbread Week in Kindergarten! Our morning message was taken over by Sprinkles the Gingerbread Man who will be hiding in our morning slides this week! Ss were so excited to find him on our “All About Today” slide. We visited our Gingerbread Classroom, too! Oh, what fun!

My teacher/mama heart could burst with how much our little man loves books! Just look at him turning those pages 🥰

Today we read stories about Diwali, some students shared what their families do that is special for Diwali and we did a directed drawing of a diya!
