If you have a trip or a fall in public, pretend you meant to do to avoid any embarrassment.

The day before my son should have been 26, and on the day the news is reporting 3 suicides relating to the same hospital, I’d like to make a point about the language around suicide. It’s only going to be 3/4 tweets. If you agree, please retweet and let’s see how this goes

Our petition is approaching 140,000. At the moment it’s the 4th biggest on the @GOVUK petition page. Please keep signing and sharing - we need to keep pressure on the government. Talking about suicide saves lives. #helpsaveyounglives #SuicidePrevention petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Being abandoned by family + community would have almost certainly resulted in death for our ancestors. As such, we have evolved to respond to social threats or the slightest hints of abandonment or rejection with intense attempts to avoid or control them.

After 12 years of Tory failure, the British people deserve so much better than this revolving door of chaos.
We need a general election, now.

Sometimes we just don’t know what a nurturing, secure relationship looks like. That’s not our fault, we may never have had the opportunity to experience one before. What matters is that we know it’s not too late to learn.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, let's fight for an NHS that guarantees universal mental health support.
Let's also fight against conditions of poverty and precarity that engender stress, anxiety & depression.
Today, we re-affirm our commitment to a compassionate and caring society.

I've tried to be more honest with others - and myself - about my mental health in recent years and it has helped me so much. I hope this paragraph from Undoctored says it loud and clear: if you're struggling, please reach out to someone for help. #WorldMentalHealthDay

ALT If you're reading this and you relate to my difficulty in opening up, I can't pretend that I'm any kind of poster boy. I'm a work in the earliest stages of progress. But I can say that I've never regretted any of the times that I've been honest with friends, family, professionals, anyone - however scary it felt at the time. Putting parts of this book down on paper has been the hardest thing I've ever done, but I know in my heart I won't regret this either. There's always someone you can speak to - give it a try.
