CJ Glover's 231 rushing yards tonight is his first 200-plus-yard game of his Brenham career and more than doubles his previous season high, which was set last week against University (107 yards).

Note thread from Friday's Brenham win:
Brenham's 604 total yards offense tonight gives the Cubs their first 600-yard performance since their 2019 area-round win over Alice.
Brenham's scoreless first quarter against Rudder quickly became a distant memory on Friday as the Cubs shined with 55 unanswered points in the final three quarters in their 55-7 win over their district rivals in Bryan.

Jakoby Dixon has just become Brenham’s all-time leading scorer with his third rushing touchdown of the game from a yard out.
PAT is good to make it 38-0 Brenham with 9:00 left in the third quarter.

It’s over. The Texas Rangers drop Game 162, 6-4, eliminating them from postseason contention and falling just one win short of two consecutive seasons of perfect mediocrity.
Houston takes the division and will represent the AL West in the postseason.
MacKenzie Gore pitched 2.1 innings before Skip Schumaker opted to go with “Johnny Allstaff” the rest of the way. Robert Garcia recorded one out, while Chase Silseth recorded another before allowing a two-run homer in the third. Tyler Alexander and Jakob Junis each allowed a run before Jordan Montgomery pitched 2.2 scoreless innings. Cody Bradford gave up a solo homer in the eighth to make it 6-2.
Danny Jansen hit a solo homer in the third, and Elias Diaz did the same as a pinch hitter in the eighth. Corey Seager’s two-run homer in the ninth put him over the 20-homer threshold for the season.
This rollercoaster of a season has finally come to a close. We don't yet know what's in store for 2027, but we can only hope some drastic changes are made.

Final.
No. 6 Brenham - 40

Brenham becomes the 29th program in #txhsfb history to record 700 all-time wins and the Cubs do it to go to 5-0 on the season and finish non-district play.
District 8-5A-II play begins after a bye week this coming week.

FINAL: No. 6 @BrenhamFootball 45, @PNGHSFootball 14.
Just a beat down by the Cubs, who deliver big-time in this 5A-DII showdown by scoring 38 unanswered points and rushing for over 320 yards.
Story to come for @theeagle/@BrazosSports

TreLyn Kelly had two interceptions tonight.
Hard to believe he hasn’t gotten more attention on the recruiting front. He’s a 6-4 corner with good ball skills. Those don’t exactly grow on trees.
