We are born wise, we are born complete.
I’m seeing lots of scientists using Keurig and their non-recyclable pods. This is disappointing! For most of us, it’s relatively easy to switch to a French press, pour over, or drip coffee maker. Try it- the coffee is better and you’re reducing single-use plastic waste!

I feel that all adults should read these two "children's" books! To this day, these #books are still some of the most meaningful to me: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and The Lorax by Dr. Seuss #WorldBookDay #ThursdayThoughts

Happy #WorldWildlifeDay! Help spread the word and tell your friends/family about #sawfish! This photo is from an outreach event where most of the people had never heard of sawfish! They were stunned that we have a species right here in the US, the smalltooth sawfish. – at West Hattiesburg, MS

Caught on radar, this "eruption" is actually millions of Mexican free-tail bats emerging from caves in Texas. There are so many that they resemble a huge storm. The bats are emerging to feed on incoming moths... facebook.com/batworld.org/po…

If you’re serious about scicomm & making science “accessible”, please embrace all meanings of that word: - caption ALL video content - include image descriptions (alt text) for screen readers - #CapitalizeWordsInHashtags - use google slides CC feature during live presentations

I'm currently researching how much sperm different #sharks produce. Did not think this is how my Sunday would go but here we are. (Wait until you read my FINAL @ForbesScience post that goes live later tonight - then it'll make sense.)

Today is #ReptileAwarenessDay, and our albino red-eared slider turtle is here to shell-ebrate! 🐢 🎉 Red-eared sliders are popular pets, but be sure to do your homework before deciding to keep one for yourself. With the right care, these buddies can live up to 50 years!
I can't believe it's already #AmbystomaWeek ! This was a lot of fun last year, so please join me in celebrating one of the goofiest groups of salamanders. Here is a Tiger Salamander (#Ambystoma tigrinum), one of the 7 species of #ambystomatid we work with at the Foundation
