With a gap in the 2026 Christmas schedule for a returning children's favourite, how about a tender for plague victim prankster Nobody, a sepia psycho ghost girl, or a Happy Day of layline-fuelled psychosis?
#SapphireAndSteel, #ChildrenOfTheStones, and #NobodysHouse provide a feast of youthful 1970s TV chills for Hannah and Pete this time at Ray's... with Terrifying Children?!

Do CRT TV programmes contain more terrifying children than TV terrifies?

“This isn’t a haunted house, is it, Professor? I told you I’ve got this thing about haunted houses.”

Sunday will be the 80th anniversary of TV's return, so I've done a piece for the History of the BBC site.
If you're a BBC Local Radio listener you may also hear some bits of the comeback today, as I've done a piece for CNS which some stations are running

One of my favourite weekends of the year! Looking forward to returning, with a nice mix of guests. Always tend to find the behind-the-camera ones most interesting.
Last chance to book for #Utopia2026! Ticket sales will close Thursday evening at 7pm!

I’ve been busy starting a podcast this year, and I think this is our best episode so far! 🕵️
I spy @unamccormack parachuting in to talk spies & plotting! Leonard Rossiter wants to retire but Death Is A Good Living, we've an atomic WW2 episode of Espionage, and the explosive arrival of The Sandbaggers.

Another bloody company has forced me to change my loyalty card to an app. They can’t even scan my card anymore, so no points today. No notice about it.
I’m having one of those days where a life in the wilderness away from people beckons, but, you know, with coffee and TV…
