If you’re thinking about a gift for your/your child’s teacher, please know that we don’t want you to spend your money on us. I’ve never known a teacher who didn’t cherish a sincere “thank you” note/card, or even just the words spoken, far more than a mug or gift card.

Two studies released this week demonstrate that masking significantly reduces COVID transmission in school I haven’t seen the evidence which supports simultaneously dropping nearly all COVID mitigation strategies in elementary schools filled with un/under vaccinated students.

I mean, if you ever need to say that you don’t condone the racists who are siding with you, maybe you need to think about why racists are siding with you. 🤷🏾‍♂️

This is what I don’t understand. I realize that many who support the convoy publicly denounce the racists who have latched onto it, but doesn’t it give them pause that this is who their cause attracts? I’ve never been on the same side as people using confederate/Nazi symbols.

Our pandemic response is fundamentally structured by contempt for unionized, feminized labour.

I don’t usually respond like this on social media…but I need to say something: I have never, ever been censored regarding anything I’ve ever said on-air. My opinions today regarding the Premier of Ontario not only aired live this morning, but were also posted. Here it is.
Premier Doug Ford is receiving applause - and facing backlash - after publicizing the fact that he helped people during yesterday's storm. @sid_seixeiro and @dinapugliese share their thoughts.

/1 THREAD: I knew this day would come. While pediatric societies & "hospital organizations" did "science by press release," breathlessly discussing a correlation on a parent survey or releasing a statement about 1 month of admissions in May 2021, I knew we would get REAL DATA.

Replying to @PeelSchools
@PeelSchools to accurately reflect the # of secondary Ss who are not attending in person learning in our absence reporting - you must include both "absent" and "online other reason". Both are absent from in person learning and both are relevant based on yesterday's announcement.

(THREAD) Stop saying students need to be back in school for our “mental health”. None of you were advocating for our mental health until it helped push your Anti-Lockdown & Anti-Vaxx agenda.

It's really quite a mindfuck to hear RNs share that hospitals are calling "Code Oranges", to hear paramedics share that they're in "Code Red", to hear MDs detailing skyrocketing ICU cases, and to continue seeing our MSM platforming the "Omi is mild; let's go to work!" narrative.

I work minimum wage part-time and im sure that if I did my job with as much dedication and efficiency as the provincial government does theirs, I’d be fired #VoteFordOut2022

It's almost shift change and my ICU colleague just messaged me that they are 7 nurses short. No replacements found. 3 nurses have been guilt-tripped into working 16hrs. The hospital has decided to incentivize all staff with a time and half pay, still, no nurses. It's really bad.

You work in a factory. Your kid is sent home with COVID/classroom contact. You can't afford RAT. You can't afford N95s. You don't qualify for PCR. You have no benefits. How do today's announcements address your needs?

This ICU is 5 nurses short tonight. To ensure patient safety, a few of my colleagues have extended their shifts to 16hrs (7am to 11pm). They will be returning to work again tomorrow at 7am. Meanwhile, 10000 people are at the raptors game. Unfathomable!

Let this be clear - ALL nurses are exploited, not some. The system is designed to oppress female-dominated professions.

ALSO, if I had 30 more seconds, I would have said: We keep talking about this as if school closure is inevitable, but it's not. It's a choice this gov't is making. That choice is refusing to control community spread, poor rapid tests deployment, zero ventilation and subpar PPE.
