Today we explored the new Paris Olympics 2024 stadiums🏟 We noticed all of these stadiums were near famous landmarks so decided to recreate the Eiffel Tower using spaghetti and marshmallows.

Today we explored realism art🎨🖼🦋
To do this, we learned about the history of the artistic movement and sorted paintings into realism or abstract. We were then challenged to use these techniques to camouflage a butterfly in our classroom.
Today we were exploring the circulatory system. This led to us taking part in an experiment which demonstrated how the heart works❤️

Congratulations to Isaac who was a finalist in the National Voicebox 2024 competition. Isaac attended the Scottish Parliament where he read out his joke. As a reward for getting to the final Isaac received a number of books for our school library and a medal.

Olympic Athlete Visit!🥌
Yesterday we had a visit from an Olympic curler. After a question and answer session, we were lucky to hold his medals and get signed autographs. The kids were starstruck.

Today we were learning about healthy food choices. This morning we discussed the Eatwell plate and how to maintain a balanced diet. We then explored food hygiene and followed this guidance to chop fruit to make a fruit salad. We enjoyed our picnic in the sun!
Mindful Monday🧠
Today we discussed what mindfulness is and why it is important. We then practiced it by ‘taking our pens for a walk’. #healthweek
In science we discussed and explored the respiratory system. To visualise this, we created the lungs using balloons and straws.
