👋🏻 Have a wonderful summer!!! What a great year!! @LrmsWolves @LRMSPrincipal @MrsBiddle7 @literacy_kim
Year 6 is complete! I absolutely LOVE working at @LrmsWolves! The students said “thank you!” throughout the school year, made me beyond proud, and made coming to work every single day a blessing!! I will forever cherish this year! 💙🤍 Thank you to everyone that impacted me!
Happy Birthday to our favorite @LRMSPrincipal!!! We enjoyed putting together a card for him today! What makes him stand out is his welcoming smile, high standards, funny character and bald head! He makes it a priority to celebrate students that deserve recognition!!! 🎈
We built earthquake proof buildings and put them to the test!! #STEM @LrmsWolves
We researched, built, tested, and used solar ovens to warm shredded cheese on Doritos! @LrmsWolves It was great to be outside two days in a row and put our engineering skills to the test without being told what to do! #STEM
We built shoes that protect the foot, stay on while walking, and look cool! We then created ads on @canva or video commercials! We even had a runway show and voted for the best shoes! @LrmsWolves #STEM #STEMeducation
We celebrated the end of 2 challenging SOL filled weeks! Each student brought an item in & enjoyed snacking while SOL scores were given out. So amazed by the food/beverage turn out for each class period! Love teaching these kids!!
We researched an environmental change and created posters this week! I’m so #teacherproud @LrmsWolves
We researched animal/plant adaptations in 4 different biomes. We then created a newly discovered species by choosing adaptations that would help it survive in a particular biome, drew the species and wrote an article introducing the new find! @LrmsWolves
What an exceptional school play!! I’m so lucky to teach such hard working, talented, kind and incredible students! It was so exciting to see 4 of my students listed in the playbook! @LrmsWolves
We created a watershed where a divide separated land into multiple watersheds and surface runoff accumulated in bodies of water! This was shared with me by the 8th grade science team! @LrmsWolves #science
We identified which biomes were seen in short clips of animated movies by looking at the climate, precipitation and biotic factors - Princess & the Frog, Finding Nemo, Aladdin, The Lion King, Tarzan, Snow White and Balto! @LrmsWolves
We differentiated 6 land biomes by drawing them with at least 1 plant and 1 animal! We explained how the plant or animal adapted to survive there! @LrmsWolves I love my students and being their teacher!
We reviewed for the quarter 3 benchmark using a shoe catalog race!! @LrmsWolves #shoes #middleschoolscience
Students chose 3 flavors of gum and determined which flavor lasted the longest using scientific method! @LrmsWolves
We completed a series of magnet labs and explained the phenomena using our knowledge of magnetic fields! We used iron filings to reveal the magnetic field of a bar magnet! And we determined the poles of a wand magnet based on attraction and repulsion of a bar magnet! @LrmsWolves
Today we used @PhETsims John Travoltage and Balloons Static to form a definition of static electricity and we completed a series of static electricity labs with balloons! @LrmsWolves
