marriage is not just about having a husband. it’s about having a partner who understands that the life you’re building belongs to both of you.

Ras ..I know you have joined Essay Twitter but please use paragraphs...this write-up reads like transcribing Andrew Mwenda speaking
Married women will be sneaking around with you then one day just break down and cry from the slightest minute romantic gesture from their husband & confess everything, she will see him seething & foaming & will suspiciously not even give you a heads up, meanwhile you didn't know they were married, you get up at midday to commotion because there's a guy who's poured petrol around the goat pen and is threatening to set the farm on fire if you don't come out, you've never seen him in your life, there was no sign he existed, she's been coming to you, your farm staff have seen her, you call the police then go out, you ask him what the problem is, he accuses you loudly enough for the farm hands to hear, you ask him to show you the image of his wife, you take one look at her and tell him that's your cousin's woman in the next home, beauty of family genes, he kinda looks like you, you know the bank is looking for him for a scam he pulled, so you furiously ask them man to pay you 2 million for nearly damaging the farm or you call the police, suspiciously the same amount as school fees your niece & nephew need as fees balance, you farm hands know what's happening and pick farm implements, he knows he's outnumbered, makes a wire transfer, bank to your mobile, then furiously heads to the cousin's family home, who jumps out of window immediately after seeing him approach thinking it's a bank hired bailiff, the husband is a Kampala man, he's never run a day in his life since he left high school, so stands no chance. You call the wife & berate her, then end the call before she explains. The whole village, even those that thought you had no "fire" now know you're not to be ridiculed, you come out of this skirmish with money, slightly bruised ego, slight shame, but respect from the village. You send the farm hands to share ugx 300k & an innocent goat loses their life later that evening in your place.

When praying for a job, also pray for a working environment that won’t lead to burnout, depression and regret

Now you see why some women prefer not to give birth. When a woman came out and told you that she cut her tubes y'all were crucifying her. Imagine bringing life to this earth and you suffer like you made that child alone!!

My brother @Ken_The_Dj as your senior in this thing of having kids. I disagree with both of you bringing your issues online here. I advise you to stop it from now going forward. Sit down and talk and if that fails then let everyone go their way in peace. Silence hurts but it’s the best medicine to everything. Don’t look for sympathy here, we will laugh it off and at the end of the day, the society will always be on the side of a woman no matter whether she’s right or wrong cause of those 9 months. Remember TIME heals everything. Good luck

A simple advice to my beautiful African sisters. Before you get or keep pregnancy of any man even if he’s rich and no matter how much you love him, make sure you get something very tangible from him before. Land, a stable business, or take as much money from him as possible just incase.

I believe that however evil the mother might be, it never excuses a man from his parental duties. Real friends hold you accountable, they don’t cheer you on while your children suffer. You may be a terrible partner, but never let that make you a terrible father. Your issues with their mother should never become your children’s burden.
I want to ask sth, do friends to deadbeats actually talk to them normally like real people or do they condemn them for the wrong they do or they just cheer them on???

Impregnating women and running away. Deadbeat fathers. One principle could save us from this mess. Dear men, treat every woman as you would want someone to treat your own daughter or sister. Before you act, ask yourself: Would I be comfortable with someone doing this to my daughter or sister? Perhaps that would help some men gain a little sense of responsibility. You are not he-goats, roaming around impregnating women and running away from your responsibilities. If you are man enough to make a child, be man enough to take responsibility for that child.

Some struggles you won't understand until you experience them yourself: Reproductive health issues aren't solved by β€œstress less,” β€œeat better” or β€œGod has a plan.” Sometimes, it's months of pain, uncertainty, disappointment & silently grieving a body you don't fully understand.

From the outside, leaving a toxic relationship looks easy but people don’t see the fear, the hope that things will change Sometimes, leaving feels frightening as staying. Don’t judge someone for struggling to walk away. Stay close, pray they find the strength to choose themselves

How well your partner takes care of you during and after childbirth depends on how good your relationship progressed through out pregnancy because once disrespect and inconsideration starts, the one who has nothing much to lose will always leave..it takes more than love to stay.
I don’t care what has happened between you as a couple but leaving the woman who has just given birth to your child is not it. Whatever you’re going through, support her especially as new parents. Imagine postpartum depression and still having to take care of the baby alone πŸ’”

Fun fact: When a woman is on her period, her estrogen level drops which means her testosterone is driving her behavior. So when you complain she’s acting like a bitch.. she’s actually acting like a MAN.
