Incredible turn out at the picket line in Bath. Many questions about the intransigence of the Prime Minister and the utter disdain he is showing for our nursing profession. #RCNStrike #FairPayforNursing

Satisfaction with health and care services has dropped significantly, prompting an often heated political discussion. We have taken five myths that sometimes feature in this debate and debunked them. Head to our website to read more: kingsfund.org.uk/publication…
ALT Is the NHS a 'bottomless pit'? No. Compared to other countries, the UK does not spend a particularly high proportion of its national wealth on health care, while a decade of historically low funding increases has left services facing huge pressures and a workforce crisis. Like levels of taxation and public spending more generally, how much is spend on health is a political choice and politicians should be honest with the public about the standards of care they can expect with the levels of funding provided.

I was with a photographer who rang his energy company in despair as his bill was going from £3k to £5k.
“I asked why it wasn’t capped at £2500 like we’d been told”.
This is why the govt trotting out the £2500 figure is misleading. The cap is per UNIT of energy NOT per bill.

Truss/Kwarteng lifted the cap on bankers' bonus.
Few days earlier they met hedge-fund managers "and every one of them was shorting the pound".
It crashed after the budget. They made millions without producing anything, will collect big bonus & tax cuts.

I studied economics at the same Oxford college as Liz Truss and don't recall anyone there giving the remotest credence to trickle down economics. We all know it's a lie. We knew then and we know now.

It's happening. Privatisation of entire regions of UK will see charter cities run by corporations with their own laws beyond Govt reach, regulations, planning rules eased to encourage industrial, commercial & residential development. UK 1 big tax haven

I’m probably being thick but I don’t get why a war somewhere else means a G7 economy needs to let its most vulnerable people freeze or starve to death whilst a tiny majority enjoy an enormous cash bonanza from the volatility of conflict.
But then I’m not a Tory minister. 🤷🏻♂️
