George Takei is paying tribute to his ‘Star Trek’ co-star Walter Koenig after news of his death.
“My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today,” Takei posted on Bluesky along with a photo with Koenig. “Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.”
Takei continued, “Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date. Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.”

They are not dressing as KKK.
They are the KKK.
Teenagers dress as KKK for Halloween party—walk down neighborhood street yelling N-word.
"We hate [N-words] !"
they yell terrorizing families.
Other teens laugh & encourage them to shout more hate.
"One, two, three — bye [N-words] !"
Boy filming calls them "the team"—so maybe those under the robes could be identified as participants in high school sports together.
Witnesses say the crowd first gathered for a Halloween party at a residential house.
Then the group wearing the KKK costumes decided to march down the residential streets & scream the N-word.
Incident occurred on the Eastside of El Paso, Texas.

I mean this in the most polite way I can possibly say it, but if you’re voting for republicans because you’re afraid children are getting gender reassignment surgeries, I fear you are the dumbest fucking person on the planet.

Pat McAfee spent the weekend acting like a few Utah students calling him corny and creepy on an Instagram video, plus one student noting the kicking prize was smaller than the week before at BYU, was some kind of existential threat. He went on TV and his show saying he hated the place, hoped to never see Utah fans again, and brought up the Charlie Kirk @charliekirk11 assassination to explain why he felt “very, very uncomfortable.” That’s not analysis. That’s a national personality melting down over light roasting and then implying the whole state is dangerous because of one horrible crime that happened 40 miles away.
Utah fans and the university have hosted GameDay multiple times. The school even apologized. McAfee still turned it into “I hate this place.” Meanwhile the Holy War gets stuck with a 10 a.m. local kickoff. Whether or not the timing is related, the combination of a big personality throwing a tantrum and a rivalry game getting an early window feels like the same disrespect for the program, the fans, and the history. Leave the crying to the handful of people who actually made the jokes. The rest of the Utah community didn’t do this.

Piers Morgan and Mehdi Hasan Confront Nancy Mace Over Her Claim About Muslims — The Debate Explodes
Piers Morgan: You said every single Muslim holding public office in America is a Trojan horse. Dr. Oz holds public office. Would you want him deported as a threat to national security and our republic?
Nancy Mace: I didn’t say Dr. Oz should be deported. I do think people who believe in radical
Piers Morgan: You said every single Muslim.
Nancy Mace: I was talking about elected officials being Trojan horses.
Piers Morgan: You didn’t say every single radical Muslim. You said every single Muslim. That’s all of them. There are 1.6 billion Muslims around the world.
Nancy Mace: No, I said elected officials.
Piers Morgan: You didn’t say elected Muslims. You’ve been caught lying.
Nancy Mace: I’m not lying. You can go back and quote my tweet.
Piers Morgan: Let me read it again so there’s no room for ambiguity. What she actually posted was: “Every single Muslim holding public office in America is a Trojan horse and a threat to both national security and our republic.”
Mehdi Hasan: Are congressmen not public officials, Nancy Mace? Is Marco Rubio not a public official?
Nancy Mace: He’s not a radical Islamist.
Mehdi Hasan: Nice try. You just said every public official is elected. Marco Rubio is a public official.
Nancy Mace: Don’t walk it back. Everyone can see your bigotry.
Mehdi Hasan: Everyone can see your bigotry. You just lied to Piers Morgan and got caught. Five years ago, you weren’t making these racist arguments.
In 2021, Mace went on CNN after Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert called Ilhan Omar a member of the “Jihad Squad.” Mace criticized them as racist and religiously bigoted.
Five years later, she’s making the kind of arguments she previously condemned. We’ve gone full circle.
Piers Morgan: Let her respond. There’s no point having this debate if you both just shout over each other. Nancy, respond to what Mehdi just said.
Nancy Mace: Five years ago, I was defending someone’s First Amendment right to wear whatever clothing they wanted. Everyone has the right to say what they want or wear what they want.
Fast-forward five years, and we’re seeing what I consider radical things happening in our communities. People are pushing back against what they see as Sharia law.
There are animal sacrifices in Michigan, a mayor in New York City giving a pen to a man who defended al-Qaeda, and the governor of New York wearing a hijab while speaking to men in a mosque days before the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
I find this offensive, and I’m going to continue speaking out. I think things have gotten worse over the last five years. We need people willing to push back against what I see happening in towns across the country.
Piers Morgan: Mehdi, do you want to respond?
Mehdi Hasan: It’s interesting she talks about Sharia law. It’s a boogeyman Republicans tried to use 15 years ago, and now they’re doing it again. Why? Because gas prices are high, nobody trusts them, and they’re losing in the polls. So they fall back on racism, bigotry, and Sharia law
