Pakistan has conducted successful flight test of first indigenously developed Fa’az air- to-air missile, marking another significant milestone in the advancement of national aerospace and defense capabilities. Equipped with state of the art terminal guidance system, it can engage enemy aerial targets at longer ranges. Fa’az will significantly enhance operational flexibility of Pakistan Air Force, further strengthening the country’s overall defense posture. The successful flight test underscores the technical maturity, innovation and self reliance achieved by Pakistan’s defense industry.
The launch was witnessed by senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, along with distinguished scientists and engineers who played a pivotal role in the development of this advanced weapon system.

Prominent Palestinian prisoner and senior Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades commander Hassan Salameh is in "extremely critical" health after being shot nine times by Israeli occupation forces inside his prison cell, according to statements released on Monday by his fiancée, Palestinian writer Ghufran al-Zamil.
The shooting assault occurred in late September, coinciding with a raid on Salameh's cell by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir who recorded himself issuing explicit execution threats against the shackled prisoner, telling the handcuffed prisoner, "I want to kill you. I want to execute you."
Footage and reports released by the Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office confirm that Salameh was subjected to severe physical assault, live ammunition fire, deliberate medical neglect, and prolonged starvation, leaving him fighting for his life behind bars.
Born in Gaza's Khan Yunis refugee camp to a family ethnically cleansed from Al-Khayma during the 1948 Nakba, Salameh was a prominent figure in the First Intifada before receiving military training abroad.
Following the 1996 assassination of Hamas mastermind Yahya Ayyash, Salameh coordinated a wave of retaliatory operations in Jerusalem and Ashkelon, leading to his capture in Hebron that same year and a sentence of 48 life terms—the third-longest imposed on any Palestinian detainee.
He is serving 48 life sentences for his alleged involvement in a series of 1996 Jerusalem and Ashkelon bus bombing operations.
Salameh, who spent 13 consecutive years in solitary confinement prior to a mass 2012 hunger strike, remains one of the primary high-profile prisoners whose release Palestinian resistance factions have consistently demanded in exchange deals.
Palestinian rights organizations and resistance leadership held the Israeli government fully responsible for Salameh's life, warning that the systematic execution attempts and torture inflicted on the nearly 10,000 Palestinians held in Israeli military prisons represent a dangerous escalation in Tel Aviv's abuses against political prisoners.

He made the brilliant documentary on the Pager attack in Lebanon.
They literally destroyed his home last week.

Yesterday, I received a security notification from Apple warning me that my iPhone had been targeted by a sophisticated mercenary spyware attack, involving technology of the kind developed by companies such as NSO Group, the Israeli firm behind the notorious Pegasus spyware.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Apple’s warning was its confirmation that such attacks target specific individuals “because of who you are or what you do.”
This is not the first time I have been targeted by spyware. I was previously targeted with Pegasus in both 2017 and 2021.
I do not yet know who is behind this latest attack, or whether it is connected to my investigative documentary, The Trap, which I directed and co-produced. The film, available on Al Jazeera 360, exposed the details of the September 2024 pager explosions in Lebanon.
What is certain, however, is that the targeting of journalists with sophisticated spyware poses a grave threat to press freedom, the confidentiality of journalistic sources, and the very foundations of independent investigative journalism.
