Deeply rooted in Rwanda’s cultural heritage. He has performed leading roles in major productions with the Rwanda National Ballet Urukerereza and companies such as Inganzo Ngali, and co-founded the Peace Creative Camp to support youth in creating non-violent and healing art. In my faith, beliefs, and principles, I believe that culture is a basic human need, one with the power to transform lives and shape a better world. As @MuseumIngabo remains temporarily closed while we search for a new place to house it and keep its vision alive, I continue to stand firmly in my belief that “ART IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF HOPE.” Thank you, @InkuruLibrary, for reminding me of the reason why I began and why I must keep going.

Today, I had the great pleasure of meeting two people who have inspired me from afar, @ibrahim_mahama and Prof. Olu Oguibe, at @nyandungupark during the Soil and Water Art Talk by @NiroxFoundation moderated by prof. Johan Thom I’m grateful for the inspiring conversation, wisdom, and insights they shared with us and our community. We look forward to exploring more of the exhibition and continuing the conversations around art, soil, water, and our shared histories.

Yesterday, we had the great pleasure of hosting a photography exhibition at ATELIER EJOO as we celebrated World Photography Day with an incredible group of photographers who joined us. It was a beautiful celebration of photography, creativity, and visual storytelling. Thank you to @PPR, @image_rw, and everyone who contributed to making this celebration possible. 📸✨

Yesterday, as we concluded ART WEEK KIGALI – Edition I, we had the pleasure of hosting a Closing Cocktail Party in partnership with @KCJFilmFestival at ATELIER EJOO. Thank you to everyone from the art community who joined us for this special evening. Your presence, conversations, and continued support made the closing celebration a meaningful conclusion to a remarkable week of art, dialogue, and connection.

Yesterday at Kigali Cine Junction, at Imbuga Car Free Zone, I was honored to watch KUBANA, a film by Jessica Alunaya, in which I had the privilege of participating. Through the film, my reflections echoed the mission of @MuseumIngabo . It was deeply moving to see Museum Ingabo on screen again, even though the physical museum has since been demolished. As KUBANA begins its journey to festivals around the world, so too does the spirit of Museum Ingabo. Sometimes, what is destroyed in one place finds a stronger life in the imagination of the world. Art reminds us that what is built with truth can outlive what is destroyed by time. ART IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF HOPE. Loved it! 😍

Thank you so much for visiting us at ATELIER EJOO, my dear friend, Amb. Ron. I still remember your visit to my small studio in 2023. We shared a simple and honest conversation. Time has changed titles and places, but not your kindness. In a world that often values people by their position, humanity reminds us to value them by their character. Your humility and friendship have never changed. Thank you for reminding me that the greatest title anyone can carry is simply to be a good human being.
