I'm hosting #OTalk tomorrow evening at 8pm and I'd love it if you could join! We'll be looking at #Creativity and what makes a 'good' intervention 🤔 How do our OT values help define what 'good' means? What does 'good' mean for service users?

Working in the GLAM community sector in galleries, libraries, archives and museums--the evidence base is growing for Occupational Therapists supporting people's participation in meaningful occupations. Social engagement combats loneliness and isolation.

Our food bank will be open on Monday as usual. This is not disrespect but a necessity, those relying on food banks don’t chose what days when they need help. They are an important service for those in crisis in absence of an incompetent goverment.

Owami Davies is still missing. The police suggest she could very much be anywhere at the moment. Can we please ramp up pressure to find her in Local communities and in mainstream media. Enough isn’t being done at the moment 🤦🏽‍♂️ treat it as if she is family. #FindOwamiDavies

🚨 New data released today shows that disabled people are among the worst affected by the cost-of-living crisis. On food, on energy and on transport, disabled people are more likely to be cutting back than the general population. Why is that? 🤔 1/7

As occupational therapists, we need to stop focussing on 'independence' as one of the main goals for people We are all 'interdependent' on others in some way, that's just part of being human, and in the world. Our role should be all about empowering and enabling people

1/6 Let’s check some history facts! How long has @RCOT paid UNISON for trade union services in the United Kingdom? Is it nearly 20 or 30 years? According to @OTNews it’s almost 20 years (July 2022, page 11). We disagree.
