Been looping #BethlehemKudumbaUnit songs since last week. So, decided to showcase an under-appreciated aspect of composer Vishnu Vijay's songs - his use of children's chorus.

So is “Om Jai Jagdish Hare” a qawwali (see below clip)? 🤔
Punjabi Keherwa taal ✅
Lead singer + chorus repeating ✅
Obviously not
Same logic applies to Mangal Rang.
Genres don’t own ragas or rhythms. Qawwali itself is built on Indian ragas and talas, so a tabla groove

Can you clear me kya ye sufi song he ya classical rag par based he song
Wish they had also spent some of that money on ensuring a proper release for the soundtrack 😒
What a flex, bringing together top two billed singers in the country, for a second time in the same album. If this is how you want to spend money for the movie, please do more of it :)
Lovely song!

The only song from the soundtrack I am in love with atm. Beautiful #charukeshi (I think) from ARR. Vaishali Samant, Rakshita Suresh, Antara Nandy and AR Ameen.

Did a new compilation on insta - instances where composers have sung for each other (composer A sang for composer B, and vice versa).
Sharing it as a thread here as well. Started with Hindi, planning to do Tamil and Malayalam as well at some point.
