This Leafshell, Epioblasma flexuosa, is pretty remarkable. Currently considered extinct as no live individuals have been found since the year 1900, but this specimen looks recently deceased giving hope for its species rediscovery. Plus it’s HUGE! #FreshwaterMussels #AprilFools
