Unite the union members in water services will take to the picket lines this coming Thursday and Friday, instead of supporting this official strike #siptu are instructing their members to pass the pickets. Despicable behaviour from a trade union.

Thames Water dumped millions of litres of sewage in river killing more than 1,000 fish.
Since privatisation paid £7.2bn in dividends; has £14.3bn of debt, loses 630m litres daily to leaks; no new reservoirs. All approved by OFWAT.
Privatisation is a scam

My motion just passed supporting Unite union water service workers in their campaign to protect their employment terms & conditions post transfer to Irish Water and their call for Gov to commit to a date for a referendum on the public ownership of water infrastructure & services.

The unions have tripped themselves up. The no change in terms and conditions committment that they are obliged to protect will put them on a collision course with IW , the Department and the LA's .They've left themselves with very little wriggle room. Interesting times ahead.
