I have consistently maintained that the Court of Appeal is still imagining in the Colonial Relic, that it is the Highest Court in the Land because tell me why the Supreme Court gives exparte orders and yet the CoA does not. Tell me why they give at times 24-48hrs Notice for hearings and still maintain no adjournment policy without caring if counsel had prior hearings.
Reform the CoA or else High Court will be our final court for many matters. Matters die there.

I am happy that everyone agrees that the practicality of Rule 5(2)(b) is dead, now that the Court of Appeal doesn’t give Exparte orders. By the time they’re listing any hearing, the property or whichever issue which was to be preserved is already gone. Sold or executed.
This applies except when the party is the Attorney General or some SC seeking “stop disruption of government services”
It is a court of wonders. You file a Rule 5(2)(b) in January and it is heard in February the following year. By the time of Appeal, you’re forced to withdraw the Appeal.

DPP secures 14-day detention of Police Inspector linked to murders of psychiatrist and city lawyer.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has today secured a 14-day detention order against Police Inspector Kenneth Sang, who is linked to the murders of psychiatrist Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso and city lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu.
Sang, who was arrested in Eldoret on Saturday, was presented before Principal Magistrate Paul Mutai at a Nairobi court, where the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) sought additional time to complete investigations.
The court granted the 14-day detention period to allow investigators to interrogate the suspect, record his statement, conduct searches, make possible recoveries, facilitate a mental health assessment and complete investigations before charging him.
The court directed that Sang be detained at Kilimani Police Station. The case will be mentioned on 9th of November 2026.
Dr Mutiso, a former director of the African Institute of Mental and Brain Health, was fatally shot and killed on 29th July 2026 in Nairobi.
Investigations have also linked Sang to the murder of Mbobu, which occurred on 9th September 2025. The prosecution alleges that Sang played a key role in planning the killing and is expected to face charges alongside other suspects already charged before the Kibera High Court.
The court heard that investigators recovered two spent cartridges and two bullets from the scene of Dr Mutiso’s murder. A ballistic examination linked the recovered ammunition components to a Mini Jericho pistol that was subsequently recovered and examined. Investigators established that the firearm had been issued to Inspector Sang.
The DPP has already approved murder charges against five suspects in connection with Mbobu’s killing. They are Rose Mbithe Mulwa, her children Chris Mulwa and Angela Mulwa, and police constables Julius Kipkoeach Cheruiyot and Kennedy Kipkemoi Borboroi.

I didn’t expect the thesis to gain this much traction. After over a year of work, I produced 100+ pages of my best research yet, under an excellent supervisor who has worked with the ICC. I hope it will be useful to policymakers and others once published online.
OBAMA: He pulled out of the JCPOA, starts this war—Seven months later, six months after they declared victory, how's that war going?
Our allies and our bases have been attacked. Americans have been killed. Hundreds of Americans have been wounded. We have run down our stock of missiles. And Iran now has veto power over the strait of hormuz, where oil goes through to the world market.
This is the reason why the price of oil is up. Nobody disputes that. This is the reason the price of diesel is up. This is the reason why the price of just about everything is up.
Meanwhile, you got the defense secretary who's squarely focused on important matters: the jawlines and testosterone levels of our troops.
These are not serious people. And the problem is you end up having to pay the price for their lack of seriousness.

Obama: We've got a U.S. ambassador shaking down a donor to pay off her $100,000 credit card bills. A Venezuelan billionaire wanted a pardon, so he paid one of Trump's personal lawyers $50 million. This is a culture that's set at the top. We have never seen a president excel in straight-up grifting like this.
