Back at the Bristol Old Vic for the last theatre trip of the year. Stand up from @jessicafostekew and should still be OK for a 9am lecture on cloning tomorrow.

Training day 2 was crunch time as the students developed their AMR research funding prioritisation pitches. With an interlude @BrisBotanicGdn for lunch and as much shade as we could find.

It’s been a tough day of wallpaper stripping for Doris and me. Great there was someone on hand to capture this moment…..

We have a Goat Willow tree in the garden so we get these beasts - Puss Moths - but this 7 cm idiot has decided to pupate in the door frame of one of our stables. Which gets opened regularly. Hopefully it’ll move back into the trees otherwise we’ll be seeing this face quite a bit.

A professorship in one slide. What an amazing journey @Reyher_UofBVet has taken us on.

The faces of a man who can’t believe his luck and a woman who’s questioning her judgement. 20 years ago today. And a few of you were there. And now we all feel old.

Where the West Mendip Hills melt in to the sea is a good place for a beacon lighting. Definitely preferred this to the royal themed fancy dress scarecrow wheelbarrow race earlier.

When you’re a 4 year old dressage horse your first schooling selfie is a rite of passage. Olympic standard posing by Arthur here.

Group lunch to welcome new arrivals. And I’m working in the lab this week characterising a new 3GC resistance mechanism. Nature is healing….

Interval for Nish Kumar at the Old Vic. Great support by Kemah Bob. Kumar is angry and on safe ground in Bristol. Letting it rip….
