The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Zacch Adedeji PhD, received the newly appointed Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Nigeria, Mr. Adedapo Olagunju, on a courtesy visit at the NRS headquarters in Abuja on Monday, 26 October, 2026.
Welcoming his guest, the ECNRS noted that J.P. Morgan's growing presence in Nigeria is a significant signal of international investor confidence in the direction of the country's economy. He stated that this confidence reflects the credibility, stability and predictability being fostered by the bold economic reforms and fiscal policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Zacch Adedeji emphasised that a transparent, efficient and predictable fiscal environment is key to attracting global capital, strengthening institutional partnerships and positioning Nigeria as a competitive investment destination.
He further noted that as the reforms continue to take shape, the confidence of leading global financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan reinforces a clear message: Nigeria is building the foundations for sustainable growth and long-term investment.

President @officialABAT has renewed his pledge to shatter decades of systemic underperformance in Nigeria, anchoring the nation’s survival on his administration’s sweeping economic reforms.
According to him, the administration is presently undertaking what it came on board to actualise: to rewrite the story of a nation that has performed below its potential for far too long.
Speaking on Monday in Abuja when he formally declared open the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit, the Nigerian leader, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, noted that his administration commenced on a difficult note because there is no shortcut to economic growth.
“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, we came to rewrite the story of a nation that has performed below its potential for far too long. But there is no shortcut to economic growth. This is why we began with a difficult reset. For us, rescuing the economy means rescuing livelihoods and transforming the fortunes of young jobseekers, farmers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and innovators.”

Year 33!!!
It feels different this year, calmer and much clearer.
The last few years have taught me a lot about patience, showing up even when the work isn’t glamorous, and learning what actually deserves my energy. I’ve made mistakes, adjusted, and kept going. Some seasons felt long and others flew by, but through it all, I’ve grown much more comfortable with who I am and less interested in proving anything to anyone.
I’m grateful for my people who have stayed close, supported me through it all, celebrated the small wins, and reminded me every day that life isn’t only about what I build. I’m also grateful for the quiet moments that reset me when the pace gets too high.
At 33, I’m choosing consistency, depth, and intentional work, while making more time for the people and things that truly matter. Thank you all for walking with me this far. Alhamdulillah for life and growth.

The @nnpclimited hosted a delegation from China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO Group) for talks on areas of cooperation in energy infrastructure, crude oil production, gas commercialisation and trading, technology, and investment.
The delegation, led by Mr. Zuxi Huang, Vice President of China Zhenhua Oil Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of NORINCO Group, was received by the Group Chief Financial Officer, NNPC Limited, Mr. Dapo Segun, and the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye and other members of the Company’s leadership who joined virtually.
Both parties exchanged views on their respective business interests and explored how a prospective partnership could add value to NNPC Limited’s operations, drive growth in crude oil and gas production and strengthen Nigeria’s energy security.
The engagement comes at a time when international investors' interests are focusing on Africa’s energy sector, as countries across the continent seek to expand gas utilisation, address electricity gaps, and meet rising energy demand. With Africa’s largest proven natural gas reserves, Nigeria remains a major destination for energy investment. NNPC Limited continues to engage international partners with technical expertise and needed capital to expand the country’s energy infrastructure.
The Company has previously worked with Chinese firms in this area, including the Abuja Independent Power Plant project, which involved China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and GE Vernova.
