Cyber Police Station, Central District, has arrested Vikrant Kumar @ Vicky Tomar (26) in connection with FIR No. 271/2026, dated 08.09.2026, under Sections 318(4), 316(2), and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case was registered on the complaint of a Constable of Delhi Police. The Constable reported that the accused first contacted her on Instagram, claiming to want guidance on Delhi Police recruitment under the sports quota. The conversation later moved to WhatsApp, where the accused built familiarity with her and presented himself as a prominent personality in cricket. He then lured her with false promises of high returns on investment. In total, the constable was defrauded of approximately ₹24,00,000/-.
