🚨BREAKING: North Carolina Democrat LaKesha Womack flipped a Republican House seat in a surprise win — and she has a court date next week on a felony car theft charge.
Womack defeated GOP Rep. Tim Moore in NC-14. She is accused of failing to return a roughly $20,000 rental car in 2019. A criminal summons was issued years ago but only served to her last month at a campaign event. Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 10.
A pending felony case did not stop her from winning the seat.
