Non-response in longitudinal surveys is often selective, which can lead to bias. New work by @MK_statistics & coauthors addresses this issue in the #1970BritishCohortStudy, capitalising on the richness of the data to restore sample representativeness: bit.ly/49OGluy 1/5

Our 1-day course run by @MK_statistics, @bldestavola and D Tompsett on “Introduction to Target Trial Emulation for Comparative Effectiveness Research” had more than 190 participants!🙌👏 Thank you very much for attending our course! #causaltwitter #epitwitter #TTE #UCL
This introductory course is for anyone wishing to understand if and how comparisons of the effectiveness of alternative therapies or interventions can be performed using real world data (RWD) when adopting the framework of target trial emulation (TTE). (2/3)
1
We will describe the main sources of bias affecting RWD, how TTE can address some of them, and discuss its application in group discussions and computer practicals (in Stata and R). (3/3)
Join us for the next Network for Applied Statisticians in Health VIRTUAL event on 22 Sep Master class: Methods for the calculation of Healthy Life Expectancy | UCL Population Health Sciences - UCL – University College London ucl.ac.uk/population-health-…
