Please check your Halloween candy. Just found a Snickers bar filled with Joe Lombardo’s disrespect for Nevada educators.

The Las Vegas branch of the NAACP criticized Gov. Joe Lombardo on Wednesday over remarks in which he said he “marginalized other communities” during his law enforcement career, calling the comments “deeply troubling, but hardly surprising.”
A news website focused on Black audiences, TheGrio, obtained audio of Lombardo’s remarks and posted it with a story Wednesday.
In the recording, Lombardo said that when people get “two feet into” whatever they do in life, they “tend to marginalize other communities.” He said most of his career had been in law enforcement and added, “I marginalized other communities as a result of that mindset.” He did not specify which communities he meant.
He went on to say that his transition to governor “opened my eyes to the rest of the world” and that “there’s a lot of good people out there in the world.” He said everyone has internal biases and that a leader must “step back and realize you have personal biases and open your arms to everybody.”
According to TheGrio, Lombardo spoke July 2 at a closed-door meeting with military veterans, where he was asked how his leadership philosophy had evolved from his time as a police officer and military officer to his role as governor. The veteran who asked the question began by saying that advancing in his own military career had required letting go of parts of himself.

Maybe Hollywood can make a movie about that!
This gives the #NVLeg plenty of time to #SeriouslyPassThePlan!
As a reminder, the #HollywoodHandout was a big loser for the State of Nevada with a net cost of $1,265,581,778. #SchoolsOverStudios
HOLLYWOOD 2.0: Actor and Las Vegas resident Mark Wahlberg, who lives in Summerlin with his family, said the studios are no longer eyeing Southern Nevada after a failed effort in the Nevada Legislature to lure them to the area.

🚨NEW RECORDING: @JoeLombardoNV says, “I think anybody could be a 5th grade math teacher. I think I could do that.”
Teaching is a profession, not a punchline. Nevada educators deserve respect, not condescension from the state's highest elected official.

Since @AaronDFordNV launched his campaign last July, he has been laser-focused on one thing: making things cost less.
As Governor, he will put an end to the Lombardo-Trump affordability crisis.

Dismantling the Dept. isn’t just bad policy, it’s a direct threat to the quality and accessibility of public education. Nevada families support strong public schools because they understand students need more opportunities, more resources, and greater protections, not less.

The funds Nevada receives from the Dept. of Education are not luxuries, they’re lifelines. Losing these programs would not only threaten educational equity but break our promise to provide every child with a fair chance to succeed. Nevada cannot afford to absorb these cuts.

While the Department of Education is sadly focused on Ai slop, the Department used to play a critical role in ensuring that students with specific needs were protected, fed, and adequately supported. The dismantling, supported by Trump, McMahon, and Lombardo, will hurt Nevadans.

The Republican Party has done this kind of thing hundreds of times for many years using dark money PACs. It’s part of their standard playbook going back decades. Their largest donor has also given out $1 million bonuses to voters. But two Dan Sullivans in AK is the crime of the century because Dems are held to a much different standard.

🚨 One of the GOP’s DIRTIEST tricks in the midterms—
In NV Gov, Failing Joe Lombardo’s allies are trying to siphon votes from surging Dem @AaronDFordNV by propping up third-party MAGA plant Danielle Ford (same last name...)
They’re running ads falsely implying @AOC backs her.
A new campaign mailer calling nonpartisan governor candidate Danielle Ford the “AOC of Nevada” has ties to Republican operatives.

"Teaching is a profession, not a punchline."
NEA-SN President Jeremy Heckler read Gov. Lombardo's disrespectful and condescending remarks about teachers into the record.
In Lombardo's attempt to diminish AG @AaronDFordNV's teaching experience, he diminished all of ours.
While @JoeLombardoNV tries to help Trump dismantle the Department of Education, now he's mocking Nevada's teachers.

Speaking of Alaska, look what's happening in Nevada.
A shadow PAC with Republican ties is sending mailers promoting third-party candidate Danielle Ford as the “AOC of Nevada,” falsely implying she has AOC's support, apparently hoping to siphon votes from Democrat Aaron Ford.
AOC has never even spoken to Danielle Ford and is backing Aaron Ford.

In Nevada, Joe Lombardo and his allies are propping up a MAGA-plant with the same name as the Dem nominee
It's blatant hypocrisy and a desperate attempt to trick Nevada voters
UPDATE: There's more mailers from the Silver State Accountability PAC linking NP gov. candidate Danielle Ford to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Ocasio-Cortez has denounced the mailers and you can read more about them there:

Joe Lombardo and his allies are propping up a MAGA-plant with the same last name as the AG in an effort to confuse voters because they see the writing on the wall that Lombardo is going to be a one-term governor.
They think they can hide behind a shady PAC and get away w it.

This has gone under the radar but after the Dems surge in early voting, the GOP has started trying to prop up third party candidate Danielle Ford to try to draw votes away from the actual Democrat, Aaron Ford
They’re desperate and they’re going to lose
