We can't stress enough how important your seed phrase is. Once another person has it, your account can be wiped out in seconds. Some wallets have a rather suspicious way of handling your info, and the latest #Solana hack exposed some sloppy practices.
Upon inspection, security experts found that mobile wallets were the ones predominantly affected. Users of wallets such as Phantom, Slope, and TrustWallet reported they had their funds drained.
Solana's name was cleared after further investigation. No bugs were found in the system. But what they found was that a trusted third-party service had been compromised...
