Happy National Boss’s Day to our fierce leader, Chief Gravatt.
And speaking of great bosses…
When you’re having a bad day… does your boss inspire you like Chief Gravatt inspires NLVPD 👀
If not…sounds like you might need a new boss.
You know where to find us #joinnlvpd
Behind every patrol car is a person. A mother, father, spouse, sibling, son, daughter, or friend, someone who has people waiting for them to come home.
Our officers put on the uniform knowing every shift can be unpredictable.

Do you think this is accurate?
In all seriousness, NLVPD is asking you to PLEEEEEASE be careful, courteous, and alert while driving.
Slow down.
Don’t fight over parking spots.
Put the phone down.

PARENTS, DO YOU KNOW WHAT APPS ARE ON YOUR CHILD’S PHONE?
Some apps include features such as private messaging, disappearing content, livestreaming, location sharing, anonymous communication, and connections with strangers.

Parents, this is your reminder. Know where your kids are, who they’re with, and what they’re doing.
A few unsupervised hours can lead to decisions with lasting consequences.
And kids…make good choices. Because trust us…
You do not want us calling your mom.

It is with profound sadness that we honor the life and sacrifice of LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi.
Officer Abdelnabi was a 30-year-old Marine Corps veteran who dedicated his life to serving both his country and his community. After joining the LVMPD in November 2023, he was assigned to the Southeast Area Command, where his infectious laugh, larger-than-life personality, and genuine compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Above all, he cherished his wife, Sage, with whom he shared eight years of marriage.
On August 4, 2026, Officer Abdelnabi was tragically killed in the line of duty while responding to a call involving a person with a gun.
We ask our community to keep Officer Abdelnabi's family, friends, and our entire LVMPD family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Officer Austin Abdelnabi's courage, selfless service, and ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.
We will honor his legacy.
The last 24 hours have been incredibly difficult as we begin honoring the life and service of LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi.
We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support from our community, our law enforcement partners, and those across the country. Your kind words, tributes, and acts of compassion have provided comfort to Officer Abdelnabi's family and to every member of the LVMPD during this heartbreaking time.
As we continue to mourn, we ask that you keep Officer Abdelnabi's wife, loved ones, friends, and our entire department in your thoughts.
Thank you for standing with us. Your support means more than words can express, and together, we will continue to honor Officer Abdelnabi's life, service, and sacrifice.
