"Photos don't lie" hasn't been true for a long time. But this level of easy image manipulation means photojournalists must double-down on being trustworthy & transparent in our processes. WHO created the image is much more important than how or what nitter.gq/rowancheung/status/166…

Whether it's adding elements, replacing parts of a picture, or expanding an image's edges, the possibilities are near endless. Adobe is democratizing expert-level design, making it simpler and more accessible.

Thinking today about how photojournalist Chris Procaylo filed a complaint against @wpgpolice officers after a man in their custody died, and they seized his camera in response. He testified in court for 5 days while their lawyers attacked his credibility and professionalism.

Yes, the story is about the Wet’suewet’en fight 4 survival against illegal occupation of their sovereign lands. But, without journalism these stories wouldn’t get to the world. So when @photobracken & @M_Tol arrested that threatens the work we do, & threatens freedoms of everyone

Indigenous communities are calling for more children to be found. There are perhaps thousands of unmarked graves across this country. Are you ready? Because it’s time for truth and reckoning. It’s time for these innocents to be honoured, their names spoken, their deaths mourned💔

Deeply worrying how many experts in ☝️ piece think it’s okay to do journalism by literally phoning it in. Canadian news has been so hollowed out it’s seen as normal for reporters to not go to where the story is actually happening. Photojournalists don’t have that luxury
