Returned home from Prague to find the paperback version of Women in Historical and Archaeological Video Games waiting for me. Thanks @degruyter_pub! #archaeogaming

@GooglePixel_US we've been dealing w this f weeks. We just sat down at a restaurant w QR code menus. How long is @StannyLeroy supposed to deal w this?
I started the repair process to have my @Google Pixel fixed three weeks ago. 9 days ago I was emailed that there was a 'delay' with no other information. No one can tell me what this means or when I might have a phone that works. @madebygoogle @GooglePixel_US @uBreakiFix
@AsurionCares we need a management level person to DM us. We've spent too much time calling your general cs line, emailing and chatting. None of your employees know how to fix this. $400 is a lot of $ for teachers to throw away. We won't let this go. You need to fix it. @Asurion

@JSTOR_Daily invited me to write a pair of articles about using Constellate to answer archaeological questions. Read about my research at the Argive Heraion: an infamous ancient sanctuary that transformed into an "off the beaten path" tourist site.

Many thanks to @ReligionHistory for accepting my grant proposal. I will, of course, be using it to study Greek mountain sanctuaries ⛰ 🏛 🇬🇷
Why do people create maps or store mental landmarks? We want to find order and situate ourselves in the world; we want the same for our fantasy characters. Middle Earth might not exist, but we're compelled to help the Fellowship and model a tangible, measurable landscape.
If you’ve ever wished your favorite fictional universe was real, a new @HarvardMapColl exhibition is for you. “From Academieland to Zelda” explores fictional maps from movies, books, video games, and more. Come check it out in-person: buff.ly/3X1M6zn
Hey @BrandeisGSAS @BrandeisU grad students! Come hang out with me + learn how digital tools can improve your writing process. This isn't a "how to use Zotero" class -- it's dynamic tools to organize notes, reflect on your work, + write (and rewrite) those drafts.
Word processors push you into a📦. New 7/25 workshop teaches flexible tools for notetaking, writing drafts, + preserving future project ideas. Sign up here:

Removing the translations doesn't remove the role they played in designing the exhibit narratives ... removing them is, in fact, plagiarizing even more.
Our board sent an open letter to @britishmuseum about the use of Yilin Wang’s translation of Qiu Jin's works in the exhibition China: The Hidden Century.
"Yilin Wang has a right to seek an apology, proper remuneration and the restoration of her translations to the exhibition"

BM admit to stealing lol
We were recently alerted to a copyright issue linked to our exhibition about 19th-century China.
We have apologised to the translator for this unintentional human error and offered them a fee.
Full statement: ow.ly/R3Ip50OTYpg
They've since offered payment, but that removes her right to 1) say no 2) negotiate for what she thinks her work is worth. @britishmuseum is not a museum. They're not disseminating human knowledge. They're stealing + perpetuating the same colonial attitudes as their founders. – at Notio Aigaio, Greece
Um, hey @britishmuseum, it's come to my attention that your exhibit "China's hidden century" uses my translations of Qiu Jin's poetry, but you never contacted me for permission. Please note this is a copyright infringement! How are you going to fix this?? #NameTheTranslator
One of my book's sites is Mt Cynthus in Delos. Photographing the Herakles 'cave' this am, when a barefoot man approached + said the roof was built w "sound". Here's a great pic of @StannyLeroy listening to new age crystal theories. – at Notio Aigaio, Greece
He said I had a good aura. But then he took it back when I said I was an archaeologist; I'm actually "narrow". – at Notio Aigaio, Greece
