Gait didn't improve (or worsened) in people w/ Parkinson's disease when using a digital laser shoe for visual cues, & ⬆️ gait variability may increase fall risk. More work needs to be done to develop practical, effective cueing devices for this population.

Very happy to see our new project led by Northumbria University, 'Project BioPTSS', funded by the @spacegovuk International Bilateral Fund Call 2, amongst other world-leading space projects. Our project partners include: @NASA @csa_asc @esa @DelfiMedical Western Clinical Engineering & Kayser Space Ltd.
Building upon the success of our previous projects funded by @spacegovuk @boryung_corp @Axiom_Space @aurelia_labs @SpaceX this project will integrate cutting-edge biofeedback technology into our space-qualifiable PTSS hardware, which recently flew to orbit with @SpaceX Fram2 mission @framonauts marking the first time in history that BFR exercise was performed in orbit.
This project will enable real-time, remote monitoring and optimisation of the #BloodFlowRestrictionExercise stimulus in space, which is critical as terrestrial data demonstrates the importance of the capability to individualise the BFR stimulus to increase efficacy and maximise safety.
We’re boosting 23 international projects with £6.5m!🚀
These collaborations with global partners span cutting-edge areas from lunar agriculture to orbital threat detection - demonstrating the UK's commitment to global partnerships and innovation. 🤝🌍

Great to see the survey has gained so much traction (& completions) over the last few days since this post. We really do want to hear the views of grassroots football coaches @NUSportEx
🚨 Aligned with some of our recent articles around coach drop out and the wider grassroots game.
📰 A friend and supporter of the channel, @4_reece and colleagues, are conducting a large scale survey to gain a greater understanding of the experiences and challenges that grassroots football coaches face in the UK and Ireland.
If you're over 18 and have coached grassroots football over the last year, let your voice be heard in this short 15-minute survey.
