Yesterday, chairs of the Task Force to Combat Antisemitism @InnaVernikov & @EricDinowitzNYC , jointly with Health Committee chair @Lynn4NYC met with leaders from the healthcare industry & Jewish advocacy groups to confront antisemitism in healthcare — a problem with a long, ugly history that has quadrupled since October 7. Jewish doctors and patients, like all doctors and patients, have a right to safe and fair treatment in a hospital facility. This was an important first step toward protecting Jewish patients, doctors, nurses and medical workers from discrimination and an unsafe environment. We are grateful to all the hospitals, agencies and advocacy groups who showed up and we look forward to working with them on behalf of Jewish New Yorkers on this important issue, @TheAJMAofficial @AJCGlobal @NJACLaw @brandeiscenter @NorthwellHealth @MountSinaiNYC @ADL @UJAfedNY @JewishBoard @AuschwitzJCF

The Task Force Co-chairs, @EricDinowitzNYC and @InnaVernikov , met with Sheina Gutnick, the daughter of Reuben Morrison, who was murdered in Bondi Beach while fighting back and shielding others from the shooting. Sheina has become an outspoken voice in the fight against vile antisemitism in Australia & is a Public Affairs Advocate at @CombatASemitism .

We call on @ManhattanDA Alvin Bragg to deliver JUSTICE to the victim of this heinous assault of a 23 year old woman on the subway in a brutal act of antisemitism. We expect to see this case prosecuted to THE FULLEST EXTENT of the law.
