The Giants should not do this

Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

Daniel Jeremiah: "If J.J. McCarthy plays like this…for the rest of the year, I think the Giants could be looking at their long-term starting quarterback.”
Giants traded a 5th Rd pick for McCarthy on Sept. 28. One month later, they could probably trade him for a 2nd Rd pick.
"This is the best I've seen McCarthy play in the NFL."
JJ McCarthy was great against the Texans. Self admitted overreaction: It's not out the realm of possibility that the Giants could have a tough QB decision to make after the season.

Francis Mauigoa pass protection in Week 7 was really good. Even matched up with Will Anderson Jr.

Are we sure the Giants are much worse, if at all, with Micah McFadden at middle linebacker rather than Tremaine Edmunds?
McFadden had 10 tackles including two for a loss vs. Texans.
