I'm definitely appreciating my previous attempts at flipped learning at this point in time, even though my students never seemed to like it much. Maybe tried it with the wrong classes before.

Straight from @LisKiwi and @klbeasley... And common sense. Maintain relationships first. Take care of student well-being. Remember, some are home alone during the day with parents being essential workers or looking after siblings... Understanding that is essential.

@LisKiwi has been incredibly helpful with suggestions for enabling Ss to check in and ask questions easily and for me to check in with individuals. Also had some great suggestions for "meeting criteria" without overwhelming myself or Ss.

Not sure you understand the goals of education. "Flipped" learning requires learners to show independent effort & endeavour. Say we set a student, let's call him Nick, a time-limited task. We expect Nick to do research & verify his sources. Important, higher-order life skills.
