#ZCCongratulations : Zimbabwean singer and songwriter Feli Nandi has achieved a major career milestone after successfully filling the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), drawing a massive crowd for what has become one of her biggest shows to date.
The packed venue was captured in a series of images showing fans occupying the main floor and multiple balconies, with the audience singing, dancing and enjoying the high-energy performance.
The turnout demonstrated the growing popularity of the award-winning musician, who has steadily built a strong following through her distinctive sound and energetic live performances. Filling the HICC is widely regarded as a significant achievement for Zimbabwean entertainers, given the venue’s capacity and status as one of the country’s major concert spaces.
For Feli Nandi, the successful show marks another major step in her musical journey and further cements her position among Zimbabwe’s leading contemporary female artists.

SHE SAID IT. SHE WORKED FOR IT. SHE DID IT: FELI NANDI’S JOURNEY TO THE HICC
In 2020, while still a backing vocalist, Feli Nandi made a bold declaration during an In Her Own Words interview with Stan Joni: “I might not be the best musician in the world or the best female musician in Zimbabwe, but I’m going to be a voice that is going to be heard.”
Her philosophy was simple: you don't prove society wrong by arguing or constantly defending yourself. You work hard, stay focused and let the results speak. “Results, results, results, results,” she said.
Six years later, those results are speaking loudly.
Feli's journey did not begin at the Rainbow Towers’ HICC a place where she had once worked as a waitress. She spent years behind other artists as a backing vocalist, working with several acts, including Mokoomba and, most notably, Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe, before stepping out to patiently build Feli Nandi the solo artist.
She built her career stage by stage. There were intimate concerts at Theatre in the Park some successful, others not before moving to the Rainbow Towers VIP Lounge and eventually filling 7 Arts Theatre multiple times. Bigger events, international tours, awards and an increasingly busy performance calendar followed, establishing her as one of Zimbabwe's most sought-after female live performers.
Along the way, Feli steadily built a catalogue and, importantly, an audience. That makes filling the HICC on 14 August 2026 even more significant. She didn't arrive there riding on one massive current hit song. She arrived backed by something harder to build: a loyal fanbase, a solid catalogue and a powerful community that believes in her music.
The fans who bought tickets, shared the campaign, brought friends and showed up deserve their flowers. So does the machinery behind the artist: solid management, her band and production team, strong industry relationships, a positive reputation and brand, and everyone working behind the scenes. Careers of this magnitude are never built by one person. They require vision, discipline, relationships, teamwork and people willing to believe in the dream.
For a female artist operating in Zimbabwe's so-called secular music space, filling the HICC is a huge milestone. It expands what seems possible for other women coming behind her and challenges assumptions about who can headline major venues and command audiences at that scale.
Ahead of the concert, Feli told EARGROUND TV that the night would be about pouring eight years of their journey onto one stage reflecting on where they had come from and appreciating everyone who had walked with them.
On 14 August, that reflection became a celebration.
From backing vocalist to filling the HICC. Not overnight. Not because of one song. But through years of consistency, courage, community, teamwork and hard work.
Feli Nandi's journey is a reminder that you don't have to answer every doubt or fight every opinion. Sometimes you simply keep building until the results become your answer.
Results. Results. Results. @plotmhako @NandiFeli
Blessed Sunday to you all 🖤
See you at the HICC
