HON’BLE NDPS COURT, NEEMUCH CONVICTS ONE PERSON TO 12 YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT IN A 307.790 KG POPPY STRAW SEIZURE CASE BY CBN 1. The Hon’ble Court convicted one accused person to 12 years’ Rigorous Imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹2 Lakh under NDPS Act, 1985. 2. THE SEIZURE: In February, 2024, the DNC Office of CBN MP Unit intercepted a Car at Nikumbh Chouraha, Village Aavri Mata, Chittorgarh-Mangalwad Road, seizing 307.790 kgs of Poppy Straw (Doda Chura) and arrested one accused. 3. THE ROUTE: Investigation established that the seized contraband was illicitly sourced from Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) and destined for Badmer (Rajasthan). 4. This stringent conviction highlights CBN’s effective investigation and prosecution in line with the national vision of "Nasha Mukt Bharat". #CBN #NDPSAct

🇮🇳 CENTRAL BUREAU OF NARCOTICS 🇮🇳 HON’BLE NDPS COURT, BARABANKI CONVICTS ACCUSED TO 10 YEARS’ RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT IN A 0.650 KG MORPHINE SEIZURE CASE BY CBN 1. THE CONVICTION: On 15.10.2026, the Hon’ble NDPS Court, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, convicted Omkar under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, 1985, and sentenced him to 10 years’ Rigorous Imprisonment along with a fine of ₹1 Lakh. 2. THE SEIZURE: On 06.12.2019, the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) apprehended the suspects near Nevli village on the Barabanki–Haidergarh Road, Uttar Pradesh, and recovered 0.650 kg of Morphine from his possession. 3. THE CASE: The case was registered as Case Crime No. 01/2019 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, 1985. 4.
