@AndrewMarr9 took @EdwardJDavey to task this morning, quite rightly on the definition of the word 'woman'. This isn't a trans rights issue, its a women's rights issue. We simply cannot protect women in legislation if we cannot define what a woman is. we.tl/t-A4wIVji09k?src=dnl

“Living standards are falling for us.” Yet UK banks just posted £29bn in half-year profits. Lloyds’ profits jumped 99% to £2.3bn as mortgage rates hit 6%, while Shell doubled its profits to £8bn. This isn’t just an economic crisis; it’s a wealth transfer.

Unpopular opinion As Britain already paid the slave owners to stop Slavery, a debt that was only repaid in 2015. It's now only fair that those who benefitted from these payments, and have built inherited wealth on the back of this now pay the reparations to the Caribbean.

I think we need a venn diagram of liberal men who believe ' trans women are women' and liberal men who strangle women during sex.
Yes - historic posts here. Stephen forgot he met Nat apparently...as that would be inconvenient for him being able to talk about how women support having biological males in their spaces when clearly many do not.

Have our politicians not learnt anything from the GRA? Why are they trying to push through another anti #REALITY legislation, that women will need to spend another decade undoing.
The Conversion Practices bill “makes it a crime to say to your teenaged daughter: I want you to love your body, I want you to grow up to be a happy lesbian. I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU ARE A MAN!” 💔 @Jebadoo2

Muslim men should lead by example and wear the burqua themselves, if they are forcing there women and children to wear it. #FairsFairLads
So many Muslim men abusing me on twitter because i say burqa is a symbol of oppression & subjugation of Muslim women. Those men really love burqa. My question is, if men love burqa so much, love the garment so much, why don't they wear it?

If men have a problem with different aspects of masculinity, that is for men to sort out and is not another burden to be placed upon women.
You guys are extremely heartless. You would rather trans women get brutally assaulted and even murdered in the men’s bathroom because you can’t accept to share a space that they feel safer in…

This is unacceptable in a world where people are choosing between heating and eating.
I bet you have seen those videos showing how UK supermarkets are dumping huge amounts of in date food because they don't want to give it away. Meanwhile the UK govt is telling you to stockpile food for war. They think you are stupid.

Women do have a right to their own bodies but when pregnant there is a conflict when the baby can live outside the womb. If the child isn't wanted by the mother then we need to normalise adoption not the destruction of babies.
What you call a foetus/baby is not the issue. The issue is that each of us has an absolute right to our own bodies, and no dominion over someone else's. None of us; foetus, baby, child or adult can utilise another's body against their wishes.

#thewargame shows us what happens when we isolate ourselves from Europe, but Trump's America is no longer willing to act as the global policeman.

The experience may be profound but it certainly isn't enjoyable, apart from when you see your beautiful baby.
I really enjoyed my 3 'birthing situations'. They were phenomenal experiences on so many levels.

Andy Malkinson served 17 years in prison for a rape he didn't commit. He has finally been released, after DNA evidence implicated another man in the crime. @LizSummers reports.

This was a horrific miscarriage of justice by @gmpolice.
Andy Malkinson gives his first interview after Paul Quinn was convicted of the crime for which Andy spent 17 years in prison archive.ph/2026.04.25-204342… (Basil’s really my dog but the least we can do is let Andy have him when in town!)

There’s a point … eventually … as much as we appreciate our PM’s efforts to appear as normal as a soggy biscuit and a pint of milk … where I (and my constituents) would like him to get on with sorting out the country’s debt, deficit, energy prices, foreign conflicts, waiting lists, housing shortage etc etc etc.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham will appear on Channel 4’s Goggle Box tomorrow night with Liverpool Mayor Steve Rotheram

Claire was irreplaceable — a steady source of wisdom, hard work, clear thinking, and quiet competence who helped shape WRN from its earliest days. Her hand was in so much of what the organisation became, and so many of us relied on her considered feedback and support. She faced illness with her typical good humour, courage, and grace. Deepest sympathies to her husband Dave, her children, her wider family, her many friends, and her WRN group in Somerset & Dorset. She will be deeply missed. Goodbye, Claire. Rest well. ❤️
ANNOUNCEMENT It’s with heavy hearts that WRN announce the death of one of our own, the truly fabulous Claire Loneragan. Claire was a fundamental part of WRN since its inception and had been key to the growth and the success of our organisation. She is irreplaceable as a WRNer and as a Director. Most importantly though, as a dear friend. We will miss her immensely. We know that all our WRN members will feel her loss deeply, not least her ‘home’ group of Somerset and Dorset. We send our sincere heartfelt sympathies to her husband Dave, her children, her wider family, and her many friends. Claire had been ill for some time but maintained her typical good humour, courage (and not a small amount of ice cream) throughout. When we have needed wisdom, hard work and application, Claire had provided these in abundance. Her hand was in everything that we did. And we all endeavoured to ‘Be More Claire’ as a result. But more importantly than that, she was always our dear friend. Goodbye Claire. We love you so much xx

The @LibDems continue to discriminate against those with GC viewpoints and there are party factions actively looking to amend the Equality Act. This would be the wrong thing to do and would add to calls for the act to be removed entirely.
LIB DEM SILENCE: We have made every effort to engage all political parties on the issue of single-sex spaces in the NHS and to ensure they hear directly from female staff affected by the impact of gender identity policies in the workplace. We have met with representatives from the Labour Government, the Conservatives, and Reform. We have also repeatedly reached out to the @LibDems, particularly following their troubling treatment of gender-critical women at their recent conference. From @EdwardJDavey, @timfarron, and @HelenMorganMP, we have received only silence. Given that silence, we hoped the party's spokesperson for women and equalities, Marie Goldman MP, would want to hear the experiences of frontline NHS nurses involved in a landmark legal case. Again, silence. Women who believe that biological sex matters, that truth matters, and that every person deserves dignity and respect are hearing that message loud and clear

"Nobody is coming to hand these institutions back. We will have to take them back, one member, one vote, one refusal to stay quiet at a time. The fight is hard, but it is winnable. Every member who joins it makes the next fight easier to win. And the next member could be you." Rousing piece by @hollowood_zoe of @LibVoice4Women terftimes.com/p/five-years-i…
